Gay marriage is legal is some provinces here, I live in the Nations Capital and we have Gay Pride parades in the summer but DC or N.Y. probably has those too. Canadians aren't really any different than Americans and I doubt any more tolerant here than over there. As for calling someone a fag and getting arrested...nope.

Btw being in the military does not somehow make you an expert, unless you are a high ranking officer who makes the decisions you know no more than we do if not less about your country than the average citizen.

War is not pretty, if your watching tv and planning to hear something nice, prepare to be disappointed. Thing is, the millitary is not ignorrent. They know exactly what they are doing and our millitary does not lose. The only time the millitary will withdraw is if politicians get in the way. Our millitary is good at one thing mostly, and that is killing. They are not goin to sugar coat it for you. They are not goin to hold back. As soon as you sign that paper and leave for basic, your life is theirs for the next 8 years. They don't try to trick people to join or force them, people volunteer.

War is horrible, I'm not even goin to pretend like I know anything about war. But once that order is given, once we are at war, there should be no letting up, no mercy. Yeah sounds like a shit deal right? You can say the president is doin this all for his own personal agenda but every power that has been given to him has been from a government we created. If he has gone through any loopholes it is because our government in its entirety is flawed, which may lead to how democracy is flawed.

Soldiers are paid to die. So anyone joining the service not preparing to give up their life is truelly foolish. Though can say they should not die in vain, or have a sensless death too early, they died for their country. Even if a helicopter malfunctions and it crashes killing everyone inside, they died for their country. Even if if a soldier is shot in the back by a child, they died for their country.

So now I ask you this, how many of you have died for your country? How many of you are willing to?

This is why I cannot expect most of you to even fathom and comprehend what I am saying. The blanket, freedom, everything you have was paid for with blood.

People die, we all will die. At least some of us will die for what we believe in, and truthfully, that is more important than living sometimes.

It doesn't matter what you believe really. Death will always be the highest price you can pay for it.



So there you go, I hope some of you have a hard time swallowing that if you even believe what I am saying. I know that some of you could never understand. In fact I truthfully don't expect a single person from anywhere other than the US to understand the words freedom, liberty and the blood it took to get there. I don't understand it all myself, and I am no wise person. I only observe, then state what I have seen.
