Default Post OPTICAL MICE SUCK

I hate those fucking pieces of shit. I mean, really, what is the point? Oh, wow, it has a light!

Who, may I ask, cares?

And who needs those stupid thumb buttons?

I have an MS Wheel Mouse optical, I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO A BALL MOUSE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!

It has no thumb buttons, just the 2 buttons and the wheel. And the optical sensor, It works so much better, I HATE using ball mice with a passion now!

Thats me.

Whatever, the optical sensor is worthless technology. Like those toilets in Japan that spray your ass with water. Who the HELL cares? Balled mice work just fine; there's no reason to waste precious research dollars inventing a little mouse with a little eye. Fuckin' donate to a charity or somethin'.

And you know what? I hate the scroll wheel, too!

You never have to clean an optical mouse. That alone is worth it to me. There's a lot of dust in my house, so I had to constantly be cleaning my old ball mouse to get it to work halfway decently. No problems at all with the optical.

And as for the scroll wheel, what the hell is wrong with you!? Freak! The scroll wheel is the best invention in mouse technology EVER! Are you a Mac user or something? Get away from me you non-scrolling ball mouse freak.

If you make graphics in Photoshop, having an optical mouse is a Godsend.

Nobody hates optical mice. And Sweet Jesus, every time I have to use a mouse without a scroll wheel, it drives me crazy!

I just wanted to see how you all'd react.

You degenerate pond scum! You should have kept this going for a few days at least - I mean its not too hard to come up with semi-convincing arguments against optical mice. But then, you do have less brains than the average rock so it may be understandable.

Opitical mice are terrible because if you get the lens scratched then its good-bye mr mouse. Discuss

Never used a cordless optical, but I hear they're decent for gaming. What really sucks (or so I've heard) are cordless keyboards. I'm not really sure why a cordless mouse would be more responsive than a cordless keyboard, though.

Here's something I actually do have a complaint with: wireless mice.

What in the hell do you need one for? Can you read your monitor from ten feet away? Truly useless. An' don't give me that shit about the mouse cable getting in your way, 'cause that is a lame rationalization for what clearly is a waste of cash.

if you saw my desk you could see how a cord gets in the way.

I was going to buy a wireless mouse but the batteries in them die to fast.

No more lame than replacing your DVD or floppy drive with one that matches your casing colourscheme

Acutally, dude, my little brother got the cordless optical Logitech mouse in November, and not until April did it run out of batteries. I was impressed.

I just can't deal with the cordless thing. Batteries BLEAH!

Anyway, with the mice, I gave them gender. I call them "female" or "male" mice. I prefer the female mice, me being a guy and all.

Yup I like Logitech stuff too!, I find the wireless micropuke gear too friggan bulky.
Bur I wish they would come out with new tech. All the radiation is making my hair fallout and plug up the optical hole! Have to blow out the hairs, what a pain!

I've only had 1 optical mouse in the past 4 years. But constantly cleaning the ball and rollers was a right PITA. If you have to buy any type of hardware consistently over a long period then it's telling you to change brand because it SUCKS
