doesn't it take longer for the electric heating to start working?
oh.....and it'll be cheaper for you sandok if your electric heating was based off of solar panels installed on your house's roof

Gas is really the only way to go with heating, electric heaters are more dangerous than a gas furnace and they cost more to run and the heat they produce is faaaar too dry.
My furnace crapped out on the coldest day of the year so I just got a replacement. It was 4 degrees in the house (Good for OCing!), and then this thing fired up....literally within 3 minutes the house was at 20 degrees. 150,000 BTUs! Although I did get alot of water from condensation problems and the temperature difference..... but after clean up it was all good. Then the air conditioning broke on the hottest day of the year so I got that fixed and I went from 39 + whatever the humidex was to 18 in no time. Then I stopped putting it at 18 and back at 26.... because it costs too much. Moral of the story: If you move into an older house factor the cost of the heating and air into it too and save yourself the angst. |
