I mean jesus, you have to lapdance and kiss his ass before you can post on his forums.

His guides are great and all but the guy is a complete moron...
i use to be able to post on his forums before all this new introduction system crap came into place months ago..

I use to be a member there ages ago but couldnt remember my details so i had to reregister.

2 half weeks ago i made a introduction saying hello yada yada yada..
and today i still couldnt post so i posted again to find out some hours ago i was banned lol

and this is the smart ass reply i got from the owner

:Thread closed, used banned for obvious reasons. Classic example of the type of person we don't want here. * i mean sheesh what kind of people does he want around there ? asskissers. ?

The new members section of tweakguides is really quite amusing. They ban every other member before they get to 4 or 5 posts. Hardly anyone makes it though the door. I'm surprised they've got any members at all....

Well, I read their whole intro rules etc, and they clearly state that you are only allowed to post one introductory post in the intro section, explaining why they should let you in. You must not post any more posts anywhere else, for any reason, even to add things to your own thread, unless they ask you something specific. Then from few hours to weeks they might let you in and be allowed to become a regular member. Instructions are very clear IMO.

Having said that, I had no idea that site had a forum and now I don't want to go even near that.

I have had several complaints about this thread and I just wanted to clear the air as people have taken offense to certain comments.

A little history... several people contacted billy a while ago via the forum and asked him to come back as things in the flame zone were getting boring with hornet flooding the forums. I unbanned him and had a long email chat........

I would like to clear the air and state that billy is in fact not a racist or a bigot (you would be surprised, trust me), however I have asked him to stop posting for a while as clearly his mind games are proving a bit much for most people in here. He posts for a few weeks a year and when he does, I end up getting complaints from everyone.

I think it would be fair to say, he is the best flamer we have had on DH. Unfortunately this causes a lot of problems for our staff.

Anyway normal service is resumed.

TWEAKGUIDES UPDATE :

25 November 2007

After much thought, I've decided not to write any new game guides. I've come to this decision based on the fact that as the site gets more and more traffic, paradoxically my income continues to decline and more importantly, less people are actually reading the guides properly based on the feedback I'm seeing. Thus there's little point in investing large amounts of my time into writing detailed game tweak guides when most users are just skimming through them looking for quick fixes. In terms of income, I'm not interested in covering the site in intrusive ads: I wouldn't earn much more and most people use adblockers now anyway. Instead I'm again trying to pursue sponsorship options which may or may not pan out. For now all existing guides will be kept fully up to date, and I may do new system guides, but I can't make any assurances regarding future game guides. I'll update you if things change.

A little history... several people contacted billy a while ago via the forum and asked him to come back as things in the flame zone were getting boring with hornet flooding the forums. I unbanned him and had a long email chat........ I would like to clear the air and state that billy is in fact not a racist or a bigot (you would be surprised, trust me), however I have asked him to stop posting for a while as clearly his mind games are proving a bit much for most people in here. He posts for a few weeks a year and when he does, I end up getting complaints from everyone. I think it would be fair to say, he is the best flamer we have had on DH. Unfortunately this causes a lot of problems for our staff. Anyway normal service is resumed.

I've come to this decision based on the fact that as the site gets more and more traffic, paradoxically my income continues to decline and more importantly, less people are actually reading the guides properly based on the feedback I'm seeing. Thus there's little point in investing large amounts of my time into writing detailed game tweak guides when most users are just skimming through them looking for quick fixes. In terms of income, I'm not interested in covering the site in intrusive ads: I wouldn't earn much more and most people use adblockers now anyway. Instead I'm again trying to pursue sponsorship options which may or may not pan out. For now all existing guides will be kept fully up to date, and I may do new system guides, but I can't make any assurances regarding future game guides. I'll update you if things change. --------------------------------------------- ohh boo hoo.
