I just have to do this before I lose my mind completely.

I do like to help people, that's why I read and write when I have some insight to give.. or sometimes I don't but I just feel like I wanna show off or something. :P

However, I just can't believe all these people who come here, and to other similar forums, and ask about links to supportsites for their bloody hardware.

WTF, they were able to google their way in here, why can't they just google their bloody motherboard model number and find what they need at once instead?

Sometimes I just want to scream at the stupidity.

Ok here;s the low down.....first of all you have to accept that the majority of people out there think they know the problem they are trying to solve, But they dont ...Soooooo they end up in forums like this one trying to tell People like You and Me their problems which we dont want to hear, and because we are nice we end up Like ultzmires patients helping them with thir problems which intern piss us off.

After having put a system together or some similar operation I put together a box with manuals and leftovers for the owners, and tell them to store it in case they one day might need the parts or information. Seeing how often people does not do this I think I'll some day say - here's a box of leftover stuff that may be important at a later time, so make sure you recycle when you throw it away!

Well for one, I don't think many "casual" people or newbies know what a model number or board number is. I mean when a person first starts out in something, they are a sponge, not the fluid that gets soaked into the sponge. So they do need to learn something, albeit what is common sense and highly stupid by our standards isn't to them.

I had a guy asking me all these questions when I was working on his PC and he asked me what disk defrag is and what it does. Well, I was so annoyed by the plethora of questions I gave him the old "Well, take this peice of paper..." explanation. In the end he didn't understand it and left him even more stupified then he was initially. I was upset, because that explanation has won me lots of compliments over the years :|

im sorry for your loss....

I guess the point is here that if you were smart enough to build your own PC on your own then you should have been smart enough to keep the owner's manuals that came with your product which has the website and the motherboard model number on it. But perhaps that's even too much to ask for some
