Ok it took me a while to accept blogs as most of them are the mindless droning of semi retarded people who feel they have something important to say.

Facebook was bad enough until Twitter started and now everyone and their grandmother are twittering/tweeting/twatting.

Has anyone here actually got a twitter page? Have you told us what you did this morning after breakfast? have a shower? get the newspaper? run out of milk for your cup of tea? go to the vets?

Heres the kicker. I dont f*&king care, stop emailing me and asking me to read your page, do something productive, preferably involving fast moving traffic.

The only reason I even got a twitter page was to keep an eye on a few companies that have pages which they use to update information about software releases and driver updates. One of them being Saurik for iProducts jailbreaking. That's it.

A friend of mine almost forced me into following him on twitter and he tweets sometimes 30 times a day about shit that I dont care about. So my first tweet (total of five posts ever) was used to ridicule him about posting everything he does/thinks about on twitter. I said something to end the post like "and that is why you will die alone because everyone who ever thought about sleeping with you follows you on twitter and realises how shitty and pathetic you are as a person. GET THAT SHIT OFF THERE!!!

I have facebook, use it some times. It's ok as long as you don't over do it.

Twitter reminds me of blogs when they first appeared. Everyone would have one and use the blog the same way twitter is used now. To tell us everything we couldn't care less about. I find the word twitter to annoy me more and more and eventualy it will probably reach the levels of podcast.

Personally, I've never even seen twitter. Didn't know anything about it until a couple weeks ago.

I do use facebook. It nice to post pics of the family and whatnot. Even reconnected with a few old friends on it. It also makes co-ordination of events pretty easy. But it does irritate the shit out of me when I read something to the effect of:

"Just made eggs, gonna eat them, then take a shower, and watch Lost. PS. I hate Mondays"

Well, I was originally going to call anyone that twitters a TWAT.

But then I thought about some of the twats that I have had the good fortune to have 'visited'

over the years, and decided that I would be insulting all twats, worldwide.

Then looking at the word a bit more closely.....

It's simple really, those that twitter are TWITS!

I never really got into the whole myspace/facebook/twitter thing, I can't understand the reasoning behind except maybe for an ego boost or to stare at hot people.

I have better things to do, like post on this forum than blog about running out of TP while dropping a number 2, or commenting on why that guys shirt sooooo does not match his shoes.

Funny thing is, these are social sites, yet I can bet you, most of the people when confronted in person would be quite anti-social and want nothing to do with you.

1. People famous enough for fans to bother reading their updates
2. Groups of friends using it as a kind of broadcast text to each other

You can turn off a lot of the email notifications in FB, just depends, if you always check FB, then you can shut down pretty much every notification.

One of the worst clutterers, is notify when someone comments after you, generating multiple notifications relating to something you comment on elsewhere - maybe you care, but you probably don't, while you may want to be reminded if anyone posts something to YOUR wall.

One to leave on - friend request, as any message sent as part of that request is not kept when you accept.
