New motion sensitive controllers
Be it from any of the big three.
I hate them. When I want to work out, go out, walk, run, jump, I will go outside. When I want to play a video game, I want to be in a comfortable seat, moving only fingers/hands. I don't want to make my character go from point A to point B and in the mean time sweat. I don't want to talk to my console, I don't want to turn my head or make wasteful movements for something that could be solved by pressing a single button on a controller. I don't want to make movements like I am in a failed holodeck. Tell you what, you create a real holodeck, and I will play along. I am sick of them.

I have a Wii and it hasn't been switched on for more than a year now. I am not lazy, just efficient.

I tell ya what. I didn't know what this thread was going to be about. I thought it bel;ong somewhere else. I loved the mothion sensitivity right from the start. Great innovation and intelligent designs. It's probably funny how they came to bwe thoguh. They probably got the idea from a 7 year old swaying from side to side playing mario cart or mario bros.

There are other things to do to burn calories. Leave video gaming alone. As a kid I would spend (when there was time) 1-3 hours per day at my computer, but I would always at least match the amount of time, by playing basketball or football (soccer), tennis, volleyball, ping pong or even handball (the last one not my choice). I didn't do it on purpose or was forced to play certain amount of time, I would just do it. I would also spend lots of time every week just walking, going places etc. And I grew up in a city.

Re: New motion sensitive controllers
But the ones who drop school to stay home and play WoW? They will never have anything else to burn calories.
I think it's an innovative idea. Anyway, it's not like you HAVE to buy these things to continue playing. It's up to you, it can change the way you game by experiencing it or you can broaden your knowledge by reading about it, while leaving the classic gaming experience alone..

They said the same thing about online activation of games. It hasn't gone away yet, only expanded. What about coffee on the go? Or smartphones? Damn you hipsters.
