First off i'd like to make a note that i KNOW EXACTLY what this guy has gone through, i find it hypocritical for all these idiots to make the comments they do about a bloody name/handle/gamertag or whatever...

I've heard the same comments, called the same names, received the same insults and so forth JUST for having the gamertag/handle "Judas" for countless years now.

Heres a video created by the guy that has the gamertag "Jesus Died LOL" and how many claimed to be "christian"'s that should have left both feet in their mouths at all times.

Wow...that whole clip just smacks of hypocrisy. I wonder how many people who come down on Jesus Died LOL actually have accepted Jesus as their savior, apply the bible to their every day life, tithe 10% of their wages, etc, etc and truly are on the up and up as Christians?

It takes an entire lifetime to build a witness but one second to ruin it or one second for others who masquerade as Christians to ruin it. If someone who was listening to that conversation was considering looking into Christianity as a faith and heard what people were saying I would think it would be pretty hard for that person not to think, "Wow...are these people Christians? Is this how Christians act? Maybe this isn't for me."

Maybe I'm over thinking the entire thing.

Do I think the name is wrong? No. It may not be entirely appropriate but I respect a person's right to free speech (or free tag). If I truly find something offensive I simply don't look at/read/watch it.

This only fuels the argument that Christians are only Christians on Sunday.

I doubt that (most of) the people who are responding are true Christians. It's not what you put into your mouth that makes you unclean but rather what comes out and what came out of most of their mouths is far from the language a true Christian would use.

Hypocrisy is one of the things that made me turn away from Christianity.

I always gathered that Christians(people who claim the title, not just believe in God) are racist, hypocritical, two-faced, self-righteous and narcissistic pieces of shit; not because they're all that way, but because the people they choose to represent their beliefs are. People who claim to be christians should not be the way you judge christians. In fact, you shouldn't be judging them at all in such a broad scale.

I don't care what religion one believes in, there is absolutely no good excuse for making fun of the deity the person believes in. Absolutely none.
All is shows is your own insecurities and jackassedness for having to go out of your way to create such a gamertag knowing how some people would react. It might show some things about the christians or "christians" who curse at you for doing so, but it shows plenty for your own being and how much of an asshole you are and the need to attack other people and their beliefs to get some kind of self-worth. The same stuff (just much smaller scale) of people who kill innocents with "terrorism", or bullies at schools.

If I had to ball park it I would say that about 75% of all proclaimed Christians are fake. It is unfortunate that most seem to have met/seen/read about these people and although this is a completely made up statistic I find that the fake Christians speak twice as loudly and drown out the message that the legit Christians are trying to spread.

One ruins it for many.

It's story time!

My wife was with a guy who treated her badly for about 10 years. She finally had enough and broke up with him. In the ensuing depression, sadness, anger, fear, etc she became good friends with her supervisor at her old job who is an openly gay man. He helped her through some rough times by being there for her whether it was as a listening ear on the phone or a friend to hang out with.

My wife's parents fall into the rare group of legit Christian. They are stand up people who are open about their faith but not preachy or forceful about it and are the kind of people that many proclaimed Christians should be taking lessons from. When they heard that she was hanging out with a gay man they did not think that he was corrupting her or give him the fire and brimstone spiel. Instead they welcomed him into their home on many occasions. They didn't say he was wrong or try to "convert" him but instead treated him like a human being, never once looking down on him because they knew that he was a good person by what he was doing for their daughter.

To this day my wife and this man remain close. He was a groomsman at our wedding and is the god father of my son. Her parents treat him the exact same way now as they always have.

One time at a barbecue I remember her mother saying, "I may not approve of his lifestyle but I approve of his heart. In the end it is God's job to judge him. My job is to treat him like I want to be treated. He knows where we stand but he knows that we love him." That is word for word because it is burned into my mind. Not because it is a warm and fuzzy sentiment but because these are the actions of a true Christian.

It is unfortunate that all the world hears about are these nut jobs who kill abortion doctors and claim it is God's work. No, it's that person twisting the words of the bible to fit their needs and not being able to tell the difference between being a faithful Christian and religious zealot with a hair trigger and a scapegoat.

It is unfortunate that people hear about priests abusing their trust and sexually assaulting members of their congregation. The devil didn't make you do it unless that's what you call your mental deficiency and the little man in your pants.

There are good people out there who are legitimate Christians and I will defend them until the day I die. I don't expect to change anyone's mind with this post but I did want to at least try to open some eyes to the fact that not everybody is a two faced hypocrite that is only a Christian when it is convenient for them.

Senor_Mota, this was originally directed at your post but I wasn't sure if I was interpreting it correctly. The "people who claim the title, not just believe in God" part kind of threw me for a loop and I cannot figure out if you are talking about Christians as a whole or people who are Christians in name only because their actions are not Christ like.

every "TRUE" religion dictates basically the EXACT SAME THING, all following basically the same 10 commandments, all nearly worded in the same way and all stating to treat others as you'd like to be treated reguardless in what they may or may not beleive.

so i wouldn't say someone is a "true" christian.... i'd say someone was just "true" rather then being any specific religion they want to call it. Doesn't matter, it's all the same if they are decent good people that let others beleive what they want, express them how they want and so forth.

You don't need to follow a religion or be in one or have gone to church or prayed or whatever you could/want/do or don't do.

Actually no. Jesus is the son of god and the god himself. Together with the holy spirit and what you would call "God". They are three and they are one. That's one of the things of christianity.

There is no "true" religion for me. All religions are fake and creations of "man". Not all religions have the 10 commandments, I have no idea why you would think that. Also even if you take the 3 major monotheistic religions, they do NOT say the same thing about how to treat others.

To be a "true" christian, you have to know the religion you are following. Most people DON'T. The others who ALSO do NOT know the religion, make assumptions about the religion instead of the people who claim to be followers. It's kinda funny, like a game of who is the biggest egotist and ignorant.

It's all about unwavering respect reguardless of you beleiving in something or not, and that it is blasphemic to JEST be it through genuine halariousness or being a total jackass purposely, doesn't matter about anyone else relgious beleives.

Once again i state, i see no line... Per personal choices and ideas, one can have their own line and can disagree with whatever someone else does, but to call for ill treatment against anyone for something disagreeable i think has crossed it's own line.

My father has a problem with people that can make jokes about religion both in a good or bad manner... He won't tell them to screw off or get out of there, he simply leaves, ignores it, or anything else to "bypass" or get around such things that may bother him..... everyone else can say or think whatever they want is his thoughts.

Everyone had a different sense of humor.... I'm curious to know how many "christians" just using it as a direct example, laughed at the Allah comics or jokes, or any other "god" "savor" religious figures in any manner at all.

I say humor will be around for eternity, and taking something so straight edge serious leaves very little to laugh at. I'm fine with leaving those that don't wish to hear it in their own little world and to join others that can get laugh in any chance one can get.
