I used to love lipton iced tea,FOR 30+ YEARS I DRANK IT...

All of a sudden they changed the recipe adding an ingredient: "MALTODEXTRIN" and it tastes like fucking crap!! (Too sweet)

AND THEY HAVE THE FUCKING NERVE TO PUT "SAME GREAT TASTE" ON THE CONTAINER!!

Whenever a company changes thier design on a can,IT ALMOST ALWAYS IS NOT THE SAME TASTE!! (Thru my experiences)

I emailed them a few days ago and asked them to PLEASE REMOVE "MALTODEXTRIN" (Which is an artifical sweetener made for DIET PRODUCTS) from thier REG ICED TEA and they emailed me back saying this:

FUNNY HOW THIER ICED TEA DIDNT EVER HAVE AN ARTIFICAL SWEETENER IN IT,AND IT TASTED WONDERFUL!!

Why do companies fuck with success AND LIE ABOUT IT??

Ill tell you why,cause there are ALOT OF PEOPLE THEY CAN WALK ALL OVER SPEWING THESE LIES W/NO QUESTIONS!! (These are the people that ultimatly allow these pricks to keep doing this! (Mars,hersheys,etc))

What companies need to do is release new versions in addition to their current ones and then if the public opinion favors phasing out the old versions they can do so. You won't be able to please everybody and it is more expensive than having a focus group with a small number of taste testers providing feedback but you will have the absolute best market research available straight from your intended market.

considering the intent of using aspertine in so many products and other artificial sweeteners that are repeatedly failing health checks and yet manages to squeeze by reguardless.....

i've started full on avoiding anything with artificial sweetners.. and i'll never touch a diet pop ...ever.... other then to jam some candies into the diet coke for a bit of excitement .....

I check ingredients quite carefully and if i see ASPERTAME or some other ARTIFICAL SWEETENER,i dont eat it!! (They are put there to try and get people HOOKED on the product so they spend more $$$ buying it (One reason))

Something else is going to kill me anyway be it some crazy bastard with a gun, an out of control car car, cancer from the sun, lettuce when they finally find it is linked to kidney failure (just as an example but something that is thought to be good for you is always the cause of something bad), something with lots of sharp, pointy teeth or something big falling out of the sky.

That's a great idea. Some companies do pursue a demographic tally of their customers. But you'd be surprised how many of them don't.

I worked for an undisclosed market research group for about three years before finally "climbing the ladder" to become a Floor Supervisor over a 15 person team. Mostly, our representative sample was small corporations but there were a few larger ones. I led the team to a steady month of success until my employment(and 11 other individuals') suddenly vanished due to the lack of any sample to dial in. We showed up to work at three and left work at four. A month after that, no employment. Period. "Temporary leave", they called it. Suffice to say, I worked at Applebee's the next week.

I don't think that American corporations and financial splinter companies are concerned when it comes to the matter of their production, consumption and profit margins, since they always exist. The same goes for the American consumer themselves. Knowing myself, I sometimes frivolously spend money on comestible items and throwaway thrills, apart from devouring life's bounties needlessly. We ALL want/need to be instantly gratified for our "donation of servitude".

It's a brutal cycle, man.

not all of us want/need instant gratification, not everyone focuses on the material things and candies and such, sadly many do though yes.

so many popetuate their own demise and distruction, a viscious cycle that for some, provided with the funds to do it, will speed this cycle up until they kill themselves or burn out.

I got an email back from Lipton today and they said this

THEY ARE TRYING TO INSULT MY TASTE BUDS!!!!!!!!!!!

I drank this crap for 30 YEARS..... IT DID NOT HAVE THIS GARBAGE IN IT!! (The reg instant mix) THE FIRST CAN I TASTED AFTER THEY REDESIGNED THE CAN THAT HAD "MALTODEXTRIN" ON THE INGREDIENTS I COULD TASTE!! (Im not a blasted moron!!!!)

Now they have had MALTODEXTRIN in some of thier other mixs for years (And ASPERTAME IN THE DIET MIXS (Which is worse)) but not in the reg instant tea!! (Until last year) and guess what??

They messed up,I HAVENT DRINKEN ANY SINCE THEY DID THIS!!

exactly the same senario is being played out of the last 10-15 years with countless other products floating around that either have disappeared completely or have been modified to a state of total garbage..

course children today have grown up with total shit and statistically recently most families haven't or so rarely cook their own meals.. they don't know what a real home grown and cooked meal even looks like.. or how long it takes to make.. or what it tastes like.

Most shockingly..... some people don't even know what a "Roast" is..... wtf is this shit?

I wish i could find another iced tea THAT TASTED AS GOOD AS THIERS DID...... The closest i found is 4C but they use slightly different ingredients which throws the taste off from Liptons a little.... (DONT LIKE IT AS MUCH)


Now 4C also has maltodextrin in thier Iced Tea BUT NOT IN THE REG MIXs!! (It doesnt belong there,they are sugar sweetend products!!)

Look at thier reg mixs then look at the LIGHT mixs (They have maltodextrin)

Thier light mixs ARE ACTUALLY BETTER then liptons as they dont have aspertame in them!! (Surprisingly)

If they only used the exact same ingredients as lipton uses,I WOULD HAVE MY ICED TEA BACK!!! (Thiers is good but not quite as good as liptons WAS)

Im quite dissapointed in lipton!! (They used to be a good company that put out good stuff)

I emailed them one more time with the above site and said PLEASE DONT REPLY TO ME UNTIL YOU REALISE I AM RIGHT.... (STILL NO REPLY A WEEK LATER,THEY WONT ADMIT IT TO ME) The reg tea mix was only sweetend WITH SUGAR,there was no maltodextrin in it until they changed thier provider.... (Used to be done in Canada and they switched to a USA distributor (Thats when Maltodextrin was added to reg lemon instant mix)

There is no talking to them.... Companies think they can treat ppl like crap and there is next to no getting anything back (If they make stupid changes,etc) -- There have been a couple times i have gotton good responses from companies BUT NOT VERY OFTEN..
