I'm pretty sure that those doing the killings wouldn't claim that their religion is of love and peace. Or maybe they are that stupid, who knows.

The people claiming that Islam is a religion of love and peace are generally opposed to the people who think that Jihad is an appropriate reaction (to anything), just in the same way that Christians disagree drastically in all sorts of areas, especially how literally to take their own holy texts...
