Default Post I hate going to the beach

God I hate this time of the year. It all starts with the mad dash to get your bags packed and make sure all the kids are squared away and have the necessities. Then guess who is loading those 500 pound bags that the little wife considers carry ons when she is flying, you guessed it me. Then there is the drive, jeez the drive. Three hours of which is a bumper to bumper, start, stop, go a few inches, stop. How can everyone be going to the same place at the same time? Then there are the bathroom breaks. Everyone seems to stop at the same places, some small burger joint that barely has standing room and the line goes out the door for the bathroom, and that's the men's room! The women's bathroom has a line that winds past the burger joint and goes two blocks down the road and at the end is a pissed looking old man taking donations so he can keep up with the water bills and toilet paper supplies. Order something to eat and you are told time after time, "we are out of that". Just give me a glass of water dammit, or are you out of that too? After all this we arrive. Who unloads, oh yes it's me again. Then there is the first day walk on the beach, and I feel like I've been dragged behind a 4x4 on a gravel road I'm so tired. I look around while walking down the beach and hot damn, all these women . My eyes fall out of my head as a blonde beauty lifts up to adjust herself and is wearing no top. To my right another lady stretches out on a towel and slowly applies sunscreen. Another one is fishing in a pair of shorts cut up to her nunu. It is then I realize, that all of the work and hell that went into getting to the beach is well worth it. I then pick up a beer and the rest is history in the making. Guys it's that time of the year again. Saturday the little wife and family will be heading out to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for our yearly R&R. I'll be thinking about all of you while I'm on the beach sneaking looks at the babes when the wifey's not looking. So everyone have a good week and for all of the American citizens here, have a happy and safe fourth of July. Cheers.

Heh... i guess this is the part where we all flame you? ... or rather chime in...

Well.. i gotta say i'm gonna be spending the fourh of July in the comfort of my own home... there is gonna be a fireworks show at the lakefront (round where i live, pretty decent sized lake too...) and one in Washington and Baltimore... i got 3 to pick from and some friends to go drinking with. Too bad i'm not on campus... you know there would be a huge bonfire down at frat row...

(and now for 1000 points guess which college i go to )

I'd go to the beach, but since the beaches in NJ are enviromental disasters, I think I'll just stick with sitting in front of my computer and watching the monitor refresh.

I get to spend the upcoming holiday 8,000 miles away from the one I love.

Ah well, she's liberal anyway. I'll probably just read the Constitution, David Horrowitz's "How the Left Undermined the Security of America," fire off a few bottle rockets in the general direction of England, and go to sleep after a few slices of apple pie...

God I miss her.

I should have been more clear about what I was laughing about.

"fire off a few bottle rockets in the general direction of England"

That was the quote I was laughing about.

Sorry if I upset you.

Yeah yeah. Lets not forget that in 2 wars now, the Americans have called in the SAS because they didn't have faith in their own lads to pull off the operation. Infact, the only good thing they can pull off is themselves - provided they remembered to bring the tweezers and pepper
