Shit, I miss the States, but I'm glad as hell I don't live there.

At the risk of offending a lot of US patriots, I do think the US etsbalishment more draconian and hyprocritical than the former Soviet Union. Put it this way, in Soviet Russia you knew where you stood, what was right and what was wrong. In the US, which proclaims itself the "land of the free", it's very easy to become an enemy of the state, (Operation Sundevil, Mitnick, for two examples), the Government wants more and more "big brother" powers, and the phrase "some are more equal than others" is a hell of a lot more appropriate. This is a bill being driven by commercial greed and inertia, with no thought at all for the widespread implications upon the individual (who congress allegedly represent), or indeed widespread American business. By definition your washing machines, airconditioning, microwaves, etc, will all need this copy protection built in. They can store and process digital information. But you can bet your bottom dollar manufacturers will not be prosecuted. The first small individual who makes a device/program that the RRIA, s/w companies, etal take offence to, will be hit and hit hard.

Ho hum.

but then, with the implications of PACE, RIP, and a few other tings, we aint that much better off in the UK nanny state, either. Hell, the way things are going over here, I wont be able to go for a walk without informing the police and mountain rescue my start time, destination, route, eta, mobile number, GPS confirmation :-)

Default Post the sheep who baa behind ...beckz

..the overrated (in football terms) @:{_ that goes out to play lukin like Gordon the fUUkin gopher!

You know that free kick he does.. the one that goes in the top/ish left hand corner of the goal EVERY time?

it is VERY VERY SIMILAIR to one by Del Piero, who did the kick first in a Champs League game against Monaco (I think), anyway it was WELL BEFORE he did it. He does nowt that can be described as extraordinary, but he CAN cross a ball, and hes a good passer, but again, I`ve seen better.

EVERY single person in this country (UK) on tv, and everyone that deals with him is so much up his arse it makes me cringe.

John Barnes said that he is the best free kick taker in the world - sorry, John -DONT MAKE ME F`KIN laugh!
Roberto Carlos, Del Piero, Zizou, Recoba and plenty of others are as good,AT LEAST, and DON`T DO THE SAME KICK ALL THE FRIGGIN TIME!

Maybe he`s a nice guy I dunno, but there are so many arse kissers in this country that it makes me fukn ILL!

Maybe he wouldn`t be in the papers as much, if he didnt marry a spice girl, when they were at their most popular?

The posh and becks `fascination` is also FUKN WEIRD. Splashed everywhere. and the sheep that read into their lives and copy his hairstyle whenever he gets his hair cut - pitiful!

BTW, have no english fans mentioned 1966 in the football threads yet? I also get this rammed down my throat every five minutes....

Well I got three things to say to ya freaks...

1967 vs Scotland

1970 and............

....football ISNT coming `home`!
