I think I would have shoved the man's head right into the barbecue just to give him a taste of his own medecine, and poured some extra alcohol on it for good measure...

The bear had a few cubs and the lady had 2-3 kids.

Since the bear was "put to sleep" and the lady died, funds were setup for the cubs and the kids.

Poor Kitten...

I too have 2 cats. I couldn't even begin to imagine harming them or any other cat. I can't think of ANYTHING a house cat could do to warrent such a painful death. I hope they rot in hell!!!!!!

The sole difference here is that humans were responsible and laughed - that makes me said. Cats are equally capable of doing the same. The difference is that we have a conscieons (sp??) and cats don't.

if the guy shot the kitten in the head, or cut its head off with a machete, or killed it rather quickly, then we wouldn't have had such a problem with it.

but when you step on a kitten, crushing its chest, making it absolutely hell just to breathe, then stick it in a barbecue with simmering coals while it's still alive, then poke at it with hot sticks for god knows how long, until some lady picks it up and keeps it alive just to have it suffer more - probably 12 hours before it was put down, and laugh about how you're torturing something that isn't even old enough to know wtf is going on then sir, you deserve to die.

Cats Kill for Fun?
They hunt for food it's in their nature.. we have taken an animal and domesticated it to fit our lifestyle.. When a cat brings this "Present" its an offering to his/her Family just as it would in the wild..

As an animal lover --but more specifically, one who loves cats-- I find it at best bewildering that animal cruelty laws are so offensively lax. I'm sorry, but it is an outrage that this degenerate can only be made to serve up to five years in prison and pay a $5,000 fine; you all know as well as I that it is unlikely he'll have to serve the maximum sentence.

There is certainly a strong case to be made that those who abuse animals eventually abuse humans. Many serial killers start off this way. But regardless of whether or not this is factual or provable, I think it's obvious that any one that can do something so objectionably cruel and morally repuslive as to barbeque a kitten does not belong in society.

Five years is far too light of a sentence. Such a disgusting piece of shit should serve 10-20 years in prison, be forced to undergo psychiatric rehabilitation, and pay double or triple his fine. And every single one of those hick sons of bitches that watched should have to serve 100 days and pay $1000.

Stronger legistlation will help to prevent such an atrocity. And they should call it The Lucky Law.

I'm extremly unsettled by this. I'm furious and I have to hold back tears because I'm at work; it does indeed make me feel, as someone remarked earlier, embarassed to be a human being.
