What is so great about Democracy? Why do we have to spread it around, as if people can't live civilized without it? Is the best way to spread our idealogy really by killing innocent people and electing puppet regimes to run the country the way we want it to be ran?

Sounds more like fascism, to me...

Are they really? Bush wasn't elected by the people. And we also know the CIA had plans to influence the Iraqi elections.

Um, no he wasn't. Popular vote = people. He didn't win that vote and the election was decided by a 5-4 vote.

I fully understand and appreciate what the electoral college is and am not deminishing its authority. Neon said Bush was elected by the people, which is not true because he didn't win the popular vote, not that that means anything. In the end, Bush was elected by five Supreme Court Justices.

digerati will become famous soon enough

It's just each candidate has something we like.

For example, no one likes that the majority of tax cuts from Bush go for people who make more than 200 grand.

But on the other hand, if you know economics you know that people who are sole proprieter's of a business have their income and the business income as one. Now small businesses are what we want to open up. They get the economy going. And so his tax cuts makes those starting businesses have tax breaks so they can grow and expand.

Unfortunately the uber wealthy people who just have a nice job to begin with and are greedy also get this nice tax cut so Kerry is going to take the tax cut away so those fat cats won't get the money.

So tax break for the struggling small businesses that need it and the fat cats who don't, or higher taxes for struggling small businesses that don't need it and the fat cats who do.

It's politics like that that put everyone in a tough spot.

Yeah, both parties have pluses. I'm starting to feel sorry for President Bush. Did y'all see the Saturday Night Live comedy spin on the last debate? They're mocking both presidential candidates.

Fat cats? excuse me?

It is not the responsibility of the rich to contribute to social programs that they dont use or want. The redistribution of wealth is the most retarded idea ever conceived by man, and it is also harmful to the economy.

Yes fatcats. A term that means people who make too much money. Like before job reforms when women got paid less than men, both sexes worked more than 50 hours a week, where child labor was rampant and business owners kept all the money for themselves. Redistribution is sometimes justifiable.
