Default Post the worst thing in the world...

i have a central market next to my school, i go and have some pizza with my friend for lunch, on the way back to school i find a not-scratched-off lotto ticket, it turns out to be worth $1500, i can't stop thinking about the possibilities for my computer, i get hom, tell my parents, and find out that they (my parents) won't let me cash it in. $1500. FIFTEEN HUNDRED DOLLARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i was going to buy a new all-in-wonder 9700, but NO! my parents wont let me cash it in, and they won't either.

QUESTION :

Do you really love your parents? (/me sharpens the axe)

Do you really need them? (/me looks for the rat poison)

But seriously ...to scare them ...run away for a day or 2...im sure they will think twice next time.

Btw ...dont really run away dude just hide out at some relative or friends house...

Mistake 1 Telling your parents
Mistake 2 Telling us

Tell me why is should not regard you as a 10 year old cry baby after the story you just posted..

I am curious tough..if not cash it..what did your parents do with it..it's not like they can find out who lost it or something..place an add..who lost a lottery ticket ? your house will be the most popular in the neigboorhood lol ...

Next time don't tell your parents, buy the hardware, tell your parents you were the 1.00000st vistor of the store and you could pick something for free.

It said you have to be 21, I am not 21, I am 15, my parents are over 21 however, thus I wanted them to cash it.

I get the impression your parents don't want to do it moral reasons, could that be it? If so why don't you and your parents consider taking the ticket to a police station and turning it in? In 30 days (or is it 90?) if it is unclaimed it becomes your property to do as you wish. This way your parents will feel better and for better or worse give the actual owner an opportunity to claim the ticket if it is his. I would be willing to bet that the owner will not come forward to claim as it was most likely overlooked to begin with. I did this about four years ago with a money order I found for $499. After the time limit I went back to the station, gave them a number that had been associated with the mo, found out it was unclaimed and took the money and run.

Send it to Zardon, I'm sure he'll sell you his Rad 9700 for that. Might let you not have to sign on to get into the forums, too.

Ask your buddies to take you or something. Tell your parents you're just gonna "hang out with your friends"
