My opinion is that I see the US has taken a bit of a turn towards a more puritanical slant, Christian Right Wing, for lack of a better turn. That biase may just be coming from the slant of the media I get access to, CNN as opposed to Fox News (which kicks ass). It seems that they are gearing back towards censorship in an effort to avoid offending people.
I'm a very right wing/conservative (as a fiscal conservative) person but I do disagree with the Christian right wing, on issues that they seem to involve religion in, be it abortion, stem cell research, censorship yadda yadda yadda.
I'm not anti-US by any stretch of the imagination, just that religious fundamentalism that irks me.
But its not my country so I'll try to worry about my own, and just observe.
