STUPID PEOPLE THAT MAKE THEIR PCs LOOK LIKE MACS!

YARRR!! I was looking for some glossy login screens today for my computer. I have the Royale theme on windows XP and I'm lovin it...

I go to ThemeXP and you know what its full of? Longhorn themes and OSX themes.

Now Longhorn themes are just massively pretty versions of XP themes IMHO. Its kinda uncool that you plaster longhorn all over your comp, but hey I mean Longhorn and XP are pretty similar so its not that far fetched.

BUT OSX?!?! WTF!! IF YOU LOVE MACS SO MUCH WHY NOT BUY A FRIGGIN MAC?!?!

I hate how people use the conversion packs to make a "perfect" OSX skin for windows. Its just WRONG! UHGHGSHFDSAHFSDHFDS its so frustraiting. I dont even know why it pisses me off that much but its similar to all those posers at school. If you want to wear surfer clothes all the time in SEATTLE why dont you actually SURF! "because its too cold!!!" THEN DONT WEAR T-SHIRTS AND SHORTS!

this stuff just pisses me off so much.

maybe people like the look of OSX. :P

I run a tiger skin on my my system, granted I'm not a huge fan of the apple replacing the start button but its a whole lot cleaner look to my desktop, thats why I use it. I'm not a fan of alot of the other window blind skins because some are just gawdy.

And really if you don't like it, don't use it, I'm sure there's people who wouldn't like whatever skin you use

I've played around with "windowblinds" skinnng program alot, searching for the perfect skin but always come back to XP silver for it's simplicity. Web pages are get really cluttered with bouncing adds and flashing animations these days and I prefer the quiet elegance of the standard XP skins. Silver is best for me.

I like the OSX theme myself, but seeing that i'm always installing winXP, i don't even bother w/applying skins other than "classic themes." Besides, having themes takes up more rescourses

I saw this one guy where the guy bought a mac only for the purpose of tearing it apart, and modding out the case so he can fit in a PC inside of it.

the second one is awesome though because he actually runs OS8. He is running a mac machine basically.

What i dont like is people that try so despirately to make their computers JUST LIKE MACS when they could just get a mac and be done with it. It just seems like alot of people are posers.

And yeah I dont particularly like people getting the linux look for XP either...though I have tried installing linux several times and had only 50% success...

I mean if someone made a knockoff of OSX that resembled it but also was WINDOWS(not like these complete OSX conversions with apple logos galore) that might be alright. I like the glossy feeling of OSX and the brushed metal on all the apps...but seriously I cant stand how far peopel go to have an apple lookalike.

I dunno man. Mac interface is stylish... It just looks great. I use mac's at work and I am not particularly fond of them, but they do have a nice GUI. That is the real reason I think most people do total Apple conversion on their machines: to get the best of both worlds. The nice user interface of mac plus all the options and power of a pc computer. In honesty I did that once: switch my desky to look like mac (i did a pretty good job of it too :P ...), but after couple of months I just got tired of it and installed linux. So I guess it really comes down to what interface you like the best... windows or osx, I like both so when I get bored with one I switch to the other (do this every couple of monts using all manner of skins and operating systems). I hope that explains some of the reasons people like to put osx look -alikes on their pc's.
