Nah, I'd say it went downhill once they started shows like The Real World and Road Rules, and once they started censoring the names of videos; i.e. - TOOL's "Stinkfist" was changed to "Track #1" and Primus's "Winona and Her Big Brown Beaver" was changed to "The Cowboy Song".

I'd also like to point out that this all happened relatively around the time that hip-hop took over the channel as the main genre of videos played - if they even played any between the reality T.V. shows.

MTV used to be cool, now its all retarded shows such as "Ashley Simpson Show" like wtf, how booring!

But i do like watching Pimp my ride every so often.

Pimp My Ride isn't too bad and it's an original idea. It's not worth sitting through the rest of MTV's homogenized bullshit to see it though...

Who wants to watch a bunch of spoiled brats and preppy bitches and lame-ass ex-jocks go on shopping sprees and argue with each other about what clothes to wear and which "show slut" they should fuck?

Whoever thought of the idea was a genius - because he/she is VERY rich now - but the people who honestly enjoy this shit(which seems to be a large majority of the American population) have some definate mental problems/issues/retardation. Get a life and you won't have to watch someone else's!
