ipods annoy me

every fucking person has one, i refuse to pay apple for their fucking toshiba hard drive overplayed piece of shit. its become a huge fucking fad which i think 400 bucks is way too much.

in addition, its like "wtf does president bush have on his IPOD?" who the FUCK cares. "what would your dog have on it's IPOD?". your dog humps the couch with music or not. i will agree it holds a good amount and good options, but its a fucking piece of crap with cheap dependability (i have seen many of my friends sending their ipods back due to it breaking down within 5 months).

I have an ipod and it has never given my any problems. I must be one of the lucky ones. Overpriced, yes I would have to agree. It would be nice if I can crack the thing open and upgrade the HD. In order to do that I would have to spend another $400. I'll stick with my 15gigs until it breaks.

I have an ipod. I love it. Then again, I got mine for $250, so its far cheaper than all of the competition. Actually maybe its on par with a few...but anyway why do you care what people like? If its a fashion statement that you do not agree with, dont buy it! Does it really affect you? Seriously the only reason I could see you bitching is because you DONT have one and people are making fun of you because of that(or you wish you had one or something). Either way, its pathetic, and I cannot believe the level of bitching that you're going through for this.

Its an MP3 player. Like it, or dislike it, its a very GOOD mp3 player. Even THG has said that its better than all other brands. Its just, you know, kinda overpriced. But thats Apple for you. Nobody else supports AAC(the reason I purchased the ipod in the first place. MP4\AAC music is FAR FAR FAR better than all over formats)

I hate the white earbuds bullshit. I see people wearing them without their ipod even turned on just for the look.

I have an Ipod because it was the only player out at the time which liked AAC, but I threw those cheap ass buds out a long time ago.

Funny, I thought the same thing myself, people seem to just wear the white headphones because they know people will say "hey he/she has an ipod". Actually in fact most people who know anything about audio say "hey he/she has an ipod and has no idea about good sound quality".

those headphones SUCK for sound quality.

Yeah, when I get around to buying a portable player (will probably be an iriver, for ogg support), I'm getting myself some Etymotic earbuds... those are by far the best earbuds I have ever heard.

im a person who likes big sound, at home and in the car always music blasting. i need the bass just rumbling thats why i really dont care for music on the go. im on the bus to school, but its only 25 mins. and if i need music just load up WMP huge music library or music videos. BUT ipod is a piece of crap, the reason why they are charging so much is that they know its become a fashion statement and i doubt we will see future high level ipods be at the same or cheaper price. get more expensive and flashy

the HP ones arent any different. They're made in the same factory, AND you get tech support from both apple and HP(seriously its SO MUCH BETTER in many ways)

still if labels concern you, you can cover up the HP part.

Its always good to have easy-to-access tech support incase your ipod(or other mp3 player) breaks and you need to return it. Its not just a simple RMA...you have to get someone to accept it, and I've found that the BEST way to get an RMA expedited is to call up tech support...tell them whats wrong...and have them say "Oh thats broken". If a tech support person tells you that its broken, they take it with alot less lip and give you a new one(or a refund) alot faster.

Speaking of that.
My year warranty of my ipod was about to expire and my ipod was freezing whenever I went up stairs. I would try to shake it to see if it would freeze but it wouldn't but I requested to send it back and I sent it back, a week or two later, I got a package from ipod with my defective ipod unit except it had been formatted.

I was freaking out as my warranty was going to expire. But one day I figured it out. It was the headphone jack. If I pushed the headphone connector into the jack only slightly too hard my ipod would freeze. I then sent it back like 2 days before my warranty expired and got me a new one.

If I hadn't of figured it out I would've been screwed.

everyone is not a computer genius so i agree with what you posted. and electronics are the worst fucking things to deal with when it comes to warranties. no matter how good the brand, they all fucking break down easily. this isnt a honda or toyota we're talking about. asus mobos break down, ati cards flop, top notch RAID HD's fuck over within a yr. better the warranty better the company i say since it has confidence that they will not need to excercise it much.
