Retail Rantings Part 2

Customers cannot f*cking read.

There was a big "cash only" sign lit above my register, but lo and behold 7 out of 10 times this is what happened:
"Hi, will you be paying cash?"
"No, card."
"Sorry it's cash only at this register"
"Oh" and the customer walks off in a huff as if it's my fault he/she can't read a f*cking sign

Does the sign need to be flashing different colours and strobing across the floor for people to bloody notice it?

Oh and if the register operator tells you that he/she needs a code for the item, don't bloody give them the price, we can't do anything about it.

Me: "Sorry, there's no barcode on this one, I'll have to check up the front."
Them: "It's $6."
Me: "I still need the code to put it through the register."

I don't care what the f*cking price is, it doesn't mean sh*t to me. If i can't put it through the register, you can't take it home, and the more you delay me by telling me what price it is, the longer it takes for you to get out of the shop and the more impatient the customer in the queue behind you becomes. Oh but i forgot customers only care about themselves
