I still can't get the multi GPU thing to fire up without that bloody error, EVEN with a fresh install of windows so i've given up on trying to get it to work.

Plus, it doesn't appear that running the GPU client will enable clock increases. So before i start them, i crank up my x1900xtx's to 680/790 (core/mem) and keeping the gpu temp under 75*C, which according to the GPU display mode, says i'm pushing 1.6s/frame.

the multi GPU client is a bit flaky tbh. after a few days using it ive binned it. probably have a new version out soon which will work better.

Zardon, the multi-GPU client requires Crossfire to be disabled, right? And does it require a newer set of Catalyst drivers compared to the regular GPU client, such as that it HAS to run on 6.10, or will it work on 6.5 or 6.10 just like the regular GPU client?

Hey when you say HUGE, how many frames/ steps are you talking about? My GROMACS seem to be 250 frames/250000 steps according to fahmon.. How big do they get? It would kind of suck to get one that is TOO big.

Crossfire needs disabled yes, and you need to follow the instructions for enabling both cards via the monitor control panel. Yes you do need the latest ATI drivers for it to fold properly. Unfortunately as its still a very early beta it has some issues right now, so i think its best waiting a while until they update the code.

Yeah I signed up and went with the GUI version and had some issues with it wigging out my CF so I uninstalled it. Now having read thru Judas issues and the multi-GPU beta client. I may give this another shot
but will wait for an updated multi-GPU client release.

20 million in size. When it started the time remaining was just over 3 days (lappy is a 1.6 Centrino, 512mb ram). It's already done about 5.4 million, with 2 days or so left. If you read a post that Zardon made he mentioned running one 25 million in size, so they can be even bigger.

It won't be that bad, these frames are processed much more quickly. I've got a similar WU and it takes me 16s per frame.

would be nice if they could get crossfire to still be working and a single client working multi GPU mode.

I have a question: Can I copy the F@H folder to my flash drive and run it on different computer (at school) then bring it home, finish it and send result? I ask becuse when I ran the client at school, the "ready to connect" popup appeared. I don't want to register another machine ID or something like that .

you can run multiple clients with the same name, just get it character perfect.

I see tipstaff has 8 clients running now. he is surely out to impress ! good man though, its helping ati climb those ranks as well as for a good cause.

I've got a 3800+ x2 AMD Machine been chewing up cpu folding for 4 days straight and it's yet to complete 500 frames (sitting @ 306atm) the protient or whatever it's working on is seriously difficult or something.

So F@H is better optimizied for Intel? Or Intels just have better cpu to do stuff like this?

Here's my new WU-
GROMACS - 50,000 frames..
Completed 0 out of 50,000,000 steps

- but it says it's only worth 373 points... the other two GROMACS WU were worth 600pts each.. Hmm.. strange.

EDIT-- oh it's only 4 sec a frame, LOL..

EDIT2- Oh I see what people are talking about now.. the last two WU I got took about 1 and 1/2 days, but were worth 600 pts each.. now this one I got will take 3 days and I only get 370 pts for it.. Seems messed up, but whatever. Not worried about it. They should make it so that the more time and CPU cycles you donate, the higher the "score" for your efforts will be though.
