Will you fold with the coming Nvidia Client?

How many of you will be using the new Nvidia client when it hits? I know I will, but I have also been folding with a 3870 for some time now. Tell me what you think!

I just got 8800 GT 512MB and I can't wait for the nVidia GPU client

my 8800gtx running GPU2 with 612/1512/945 clocks - 4980ppd! (vista 64bit and 177.35 drivers)

finishing WU's in about 28min

looks like the G92 8800gts 512mb can hit around 5800ppd with some shader OC.

Post up numbers if ya got 'em!

It's the GT... I've haven't found the darn client yet so cant really tell how fast this is for FAH.

Im sure you have already found the client by now... but for anyone else that might be curious:

Folding Forum • View topic - nVidia beta - 6.12 beta 6

And make sure to use the 177.35 driver just released.

Actually I hadn't... I think I'll start using that beta next week.

I'm gonna reinstall Vista again so then 'I install the newest drivers for my card...

Although i don't fold for DH, I've been using the GPU client for a few days. Getting ~ 2800 PPD with the client alone with a stock 8800GT.

I'm using a 9600GT - folding for the ATI team :P Just started it today so don't have many numbers but it's a hell of a lot quicker than the cpu one. Does 1% in about 30 seconds rather than 30 minutes.

Well after installing the 177.35 with modded inf I am up to about 4400 PPD.

RIGHT ON! Yeah its seems the nvidia client is not CPU limited in the least. I like that since it gives you a lot more options for a cheap folding farm.

I am an Ati/AMD fan so you can guess my answer

I have an Ati1800GTO and the last project i got was so big that i want about 3800 years(!) to finish it! They are joking that sent me such project, right?

So is mine now, ~ 5200PPD. The new WU I am getting seems to do a lot better than the smaller 98 point one previously.

FaHMon - Application that does the number crunching for you such as PPD...

F@H Download Page - Stanford's Folding at Home client download page, all the information you'll want as far as what client and what they work on. (scroll all the way to the bottom and click on "High performance clients" to see the SMP and GPU clients.

F@H Forum - Folding at home Forum with most all of the information you need/want.
