FlatOut 2 - Possible May Release
There's some interesting information over here on MegaGames. One interesting tidbit is that FLATOUT has exceeded 800,000 sales worldwide.

FLATOUT 2 is touting some big improvements. Among those is MP across console and PC versions. PS2 and PC/XBOX players can play against one another for the very first time! Sounds pretty incredible to me.

"Game Features

- The inclusion of an enhanced Championship Mode. Multiple cups across increasing difficultly levels, each cup contains a series of races that the player competes in for accumulated totals of money and points.

- Online multiplayer modes for all formats, the PS2 and PC versions for the very first time! Up to 6 player on PS2 and 8 player on Xbox and PC

- Offline Multiplayer modes on all formats via split screen for up to 4 players"

Probably the only thing I really hope they incorporate into the MP is to make up any difference between "live" players with AI drivers. That is, if only 3 people can get together, I hope the game will allow to add 5 (or 3 in the case of PS2) AI drivers so that there will be a full track of racers. That would be AWESOME in my mind as live drivers would not only be competing against one another, but also have to deal with AI drivers, too.

The game (Flatout 1) is really awesome but it can get boring if only 2 or 3 people are racing one another on a LAN. The more the merrier is what I say.
