UT2007..... Next Winter??

I still don't understand why they are goin os overboard on the visuals, its a freakin dm game and crazy fast, no one will notice any of it. And if they take the time to stop and look at it their dead...

I'm not lookin forward to it, every single UT is just the same as the last with more stuff and better graphics, no gameplay improvement and I hate dm : ).

You should always give reverence where it's due! UT was in it from the get go and now you just diss it because you don't play DM... VCTF is by far the better gametype anyways and hopefully the physics will be greatly increased! Not to mention all the lamers who still cheat ol...

because they aren't building UT.. they are building the Unreal Engine.. NOT Unreal Tournament

It just so happens that they keep up the trend of realeasing a new unreal Tournament after each Unreal Engine build...

Unreal 3 Engine is designed to do nearly anything anyone could possibly want...

Designed to meet the requirements that massive online RPG developers have

for driving games
for shootem up
for arcade
for adventure
for you bloody well name it

I'm impressed with the work epic is doing by ensure that the engine pushes the envelope on everything. Making the high quality impossible to obtain on launch nearly.

This is the engine of the future, it's going to have a very very long lifespan. And alot of people are on the list of using this engine (ironically Duke Nukem Forever is on the list)

This game will be the cat's meow. The engine is going to rock, and the screens and movies i've seen look great already. Either this or oblivion will be the game to finally make my 9800pro crack i think...whichever it is, I smell a gpu upgrade in the near future

I use to be a Unreal Franchise fan, I only play ut99 these day I'm sad to say I have played ut2k3&4. Waste of money and supporting companies for horrible games is my downfall but what can one do? People will play them anyways. Just cause it has a new engine doesn't mean it will be good. Ooo Look at the graphics, I need to upgrade to something insane to play so it must be good. Not to kill your waiting for the game. I hope it will be good with a half decent storyline this time and better maps and design, but I doubt it. I gave up on unreal games after 2k3&4, 2k4 might as well be a update package and should be free. I think the company is just doing nvidia bidding making people upgrade to there newer hardware. Like I said I hope the game is good but even if it is I will not fall into another trap. This isnt a rant just adventure into my mind.. scared yet?

i kinda agree with him, i liked 2k3 tho, but 2k4 wasnt as good with the vehicles. But 2k7 looks very promising.

I'm not a diehard fan, I wouldnt die for a game that is 6 years old. I know all about onslaught. Its the gameplay and the skins and the way the game was made in general.
I like the feel of the ut99 world. UT2K3&4 everything feels to big. Might look good to you and in some places it looks cool. I was hyped about the game by playing the demo but when I played the full version I was let down. There turning UT into a sportsmanship game?
Next Madden 2K7, the game was never meant to be about sportsmanship, its about fragging the hell out of your enemies and winning the day, not celebrating you just made a goal by playing futuristic rugby in space. Sure there is good game's after a couple rounds of CTF or Team Deathmatch. All this importing football-like sports into UT is what will kill it in the end.
The newbs that never played UT before will get the game thinking it about hockey in the future or baseball or football. Its not about that its about getting the flag and capping it, and or defending the flag carrier. It's about deatmatch and testing ones skill against anothers while hoping you survive. Well for me anyways, and that thing about not changing my mind about ut2k3 and newer games nothing is impossible, I'm open to comments and or information or a personal insite into the newer UT games that might sway my opinion. I'm just letting you know how I feel about the game(s). Please don't assume just because of what I said a couple days ago means I am thick brained and won't change my mind on a game cause I'm wrong about it. Now if you wish too enlighten me as to the finer points of the newer UT games please do.

Then play the other gamemodes =p like CTF, invasion and so forth. I would never buy UT just to play one gamemode.

IMO, 2003 wasn't all that amazing..... felt strange... but i found ut2004 pretty much got the old ut feel back....

ut2007 .... well.... lack of better words..... utterly amazing in the quality section....

The game and graphics look crazy, but the requirements are insane. I know they are building the new unreal engine that will fuel the game industry needs, but how much of the gamer market will be able to keep up with all the hardware requirements, I mean a dual core processor minimum, how much of the community will have those when UT2007 is released.
I am more anxious to see what games spawn off their new engine!

I think its strange to use a dual-core proc to be able to play on High setting.. I mean, a FX57 isnt dual core, its the best "Gaming Procesor" and u wont be able to play high? I think that is wierd. In fact, I dont care cuz im not going to play it at High,oll my 3000+ is teh crap haha. Well, I hope its gonna be awesome like UT99 or 2K4.

The FX60 is the best Processor (for Gaming or not) and it is also a Dual Core

yeah, truthfully I don't see how physics can be pushed farther and require dual cores. Look at HL, and its not too bad for CPU intensity. I think the requirements are high because it will be unoptomized.
