Here's a preview that's still very fresh that's been reported just earlier this week:

They're reporting a release date (still) of March, 20, 2006 for US and March 24th for others.

nice, ign has their previews up as well. Sounds like the xbox and pc versions are almost the same...pc being a little sharper and a smoother framerate on higher end machines. I'm soooo

I am really looking forward to the release of Oblivion, having thoroughly enjoyed the previous Elder Scrolls titles.

Just to give you guys a laugh, having taken note of the flurry of activity around the boards this weekend regarding the content and release of Oblivion, I called into my local Game store today in order to pre-order the P C version of the game.

Conversation went like this,

Me/ Do you have a release date for Oblivion yet?

Assistant/ mmm just check. picks up what I took to be a guide.

Me/I am interested in the P C version of the game.

Assistant/ mm OK, continues to scan list in his hands, meanwhile his colleague mutters 'X-BOX version is due out about the middle of March'

Me/ I believe the release date may be around the 24th March

Assistant/ ah yes here we go, x-box version release date is 24th March

Me/ I am interested in the P C version, would it be possible to pre-order it now.

Assistant/ we only have a release date for the x-box version and without a release date for the P C you cannot pre-order it.

Me/ OK then, and left the shop, feeling greatly let down, thinking I will wait for the release and buy from another shop.

The 20th is a Monday. Aren't most games released on a Tuesday?

At any rate, I hope this date is pretty firm. My days off are Tues and Wed. Gives me two days off to play and get familiar with it.

That's not a stupid question.

By all means, though, you are missing out on a great adventure by not playing Morrowind and its official addons.

If you start now, though, don't expect to complete them by the 20th of this month..... (unless you go without sleep, that is.

hehe, i got a movie of someone completing morrowind in 16 minutes, so i think you can be done before the 20th..

The point of rpg's is to explore and have fun, meet the people and build up your skill with the blade or magic or a healer. Take job's, hunt after wrongdoers or go after evil things in caves or become a outlaw yourself etc.
I must have spent 3 or 4 months messing around with morrowind. I didnt try out the story yet, I just walked around looking at different areas. Theres alot of beautiful places to stand around and be in awe of, but not for to long

. I died alot but it was fun nontheless. Oh yeah The "save button" is your friend use it wisely. Remember to take pictures of what you would like to remember of a certain point in your travels. Come to think of it I do believe I deleted all my morrowind pictures, I do believe I will go and take some now. Happy Adventures.

lol i dont know, he just bought alot of potions to boost his stats and flyin gpotions or something... but then he went straight to the final boss. i think being able to finish the game in those 16 minutes would be the 'fun'. not that i find it fun to finish a game with that much areas to explore and to see in minutes.. you need to take your time and see everything and do the things the way they are meant to be
