PS3 To Be DELAYED!?

OK,

So I read this article and was a little dissapointed but at the same time, kinda relieved. Apparently, financial expert Merryl Lynch believes that the much anticipated spring launch of the SONY PLAYSTATION 3 is nothing more than a pipe dream. With the manufacturing costs for the PS3 being so high (approx. 900$ US), the initial release cost would be too great to compete effectivly against the XBOX 360. So the launch of the PS3 will have to wait until costs for components go down.

Now, I ask, would you rather have the PS3 released on schedule at a ridiculous cost, or wait for prices to drop before running out and buying one?

I for one would rather wait, having been bitten once when buying my PS2. I purchased a system on the initial release day, @ a cost of 600$ CDN! Now you can run out and pick one up at your local Walmart for 150$ CDN

il wait for that. i bought a ps2 desemder 2005 and yes it was much cheeper then 3 years ago. the price of the ps3 is not all that bothers me. what will the games cost. a ps2 game is about $50-$65. now imation the cost of the ps3 game. it crazy.....................

I don't want a PS3 anyway. The more I hear about the PS3 the more I want to get an XB360. However, I will not be getting any of the next gen systems. They are a waste of money to me. I am a PC gamer. I want to save the money I would waste on a next gen console and just build the best gaming rig I can. Hopefully, one that will rate a 5 with windows vista.

that true. and they can say what they want but pc's is better then consoles. why? well because of the one thing the pc have that the consoles dont. a nice soft right or left hand feel. a MOUSE

That argument doesn't really work anymore. The revolution is going to come out and offer a gaming experience that the PC can not replicate. And it's going to be dirt cheap, cheaper than a new video card. So why not?

Nintendo is the only company I trust anymore... Sony has proven time and time again that their not trustworthy...

Don't like how microsoft is marketing the 360 either, might get one when they get hacked though...

I think about getting a 360 from time to time. But thats because I'm at school and couldnt really bring my rig along. Its in the cooler master Armour case, with a 20inch CRT monitor, with 5.1 if you want any indication of size.

My new notebook works fine though - centrino 2ghz, Mobility x700 128MB, 1gig of ddr2

Racing games and Fighting games are what consoles do best...... Couldn't imagine playing PGR3 with a mouse!!!

You can now get a SATA converter for the HD and will be able to read/write.

until the next 2 with 6 months another Radeon X223423243 XTX or a new Geforce 843434 GTXGTX comes around with some new generation mobos and some new generation AMD or Intel Processors

Pc gaming has become a expensive sport

the PS3 is only gunna have a few [read: 5 tops] exclusive games, like MGS 4, Gran Turismo 5, etc.

Everything else will simul-launch across the board [UT2007], or stagger launch and be a PS3 exclusive for like, 6 monthes [GTA]
