BF2 Screenshots: Where Are They?
I have BF2 set to use the Print Screen key to take Screenshots. But, after using it I can't find any shots that have been taken.
I know that most newer games put these in a folder in the My Documents directory. Others put them in a sub-directory of the game's directory. I've searched everywhere I can think of and even did a system search for files named: screen*.* and none are showing up for this game. Thanks for any help. |

Some people had bugs with no screenshot folder and that was fixed in 1.2. Perhaps you need to reinstall and then use the full 1.21 patch.

I've already uninstalled/reinstalled the game, patched it and then patched again to fix that stupid SecuRom issue I posted about earlier. Seems the game has more bugs from the patches than the unpatched release.

I don't know what's going on then, but I could have sworn that the latest patch notice I got was for 1.3. Could be it was for another game, but, that doesn't sound right.
Anyway, I'm downloading the 1.21 patch now that says it fixes the screenshot issue.

In any case do a search for screen000.jpg and screen000.png. That's the naming convention the screenshots are saved under. Edit: ops.. didn't see the new posting. I'm using 1.2.1 as well, so that could be the reason. So, Dyre, are you picking up the Euro Booster? |

I just got the 1.21 patch installed and it has, indeed, fixed the screenshot issue. Same folder as before but now has the Screenshot folder.
And, more importantly, it's working!Haven't gotten any mods, yet. I just got the full game recently and am getting my hands dirty playing around with it. Also, I notice that 'blocky shadows' issue mentioned elsewhere in certain instances. I've boosted my settings pretty high, too. But some of these shadows are really, really jagged. Ugh! The problem is mostly noticeable around stationary objects like guns and stuff. And, from certain angles, the jaggies disappear altogether. |

Special Forces is not that bad, but thankfully I bought it retail. I just spent the last 2 hours crippling... no.. that's too friendly a word.. um... labotimizing the security on my computer just so that I could enjoy the privilage of using EAs Downloader to get the Euro Force booster. I hope it was worth it.

I got the Euro Force ex mod for it too, and I've yet to find an online server that's playing it.

Normally, though, I use Ray Adam's ATT and set it up to do screenshots. However, that app won't work with the official ATI drivers for me for some reason that we can't figure out. It works super with Omega's drivers, though. However, even it isn't flawless as the key assigned to do screenshots may already be assigned for another function within the game and ATT won't override that function in most cases. |
