Ill agree about 007 but I never liked any of them in the first place (goldeneye was also overrated IMO) so thats not a big loss for me.

Out of curiousity do you like any of the EA sports game? id be quite surprised if you didnt find one of them enjoyable. I honestly dont understand the hatred on some forums regarding EA - and im not being confrontational, just honest. Right now I can think of 3 or 4 EA games im playing and loving, such as NBA live 06 (on the xbox 360 which I know got slated but ive been playing almost daily with my brother since christmas). Need for speed series I love also.

I dont know but personally I do think sometimes its "cool" to dislike big companies and coorporations. Microsoft are another one that spring to mind, but im sorry I also admire microsoft too........

C&C generals doesn't stand next to the orginals but it's far from bad trust me

I've been a fan of fifa since fifa '96 or was it '97, I played the demo and I was hooked. Then I got addicted for a couple of weeks to World Cup '98 when my friend lent it to me, it was awsome. I sort of love the soccer games but they're not as good now as they were then imo. People just come down no any big company that's doing well Allan, 'tis the world we live in that hates/resents/dislikes the progress of another man.

I think that EA sucks hard. Only mass production of unfinished games. NP : Abba - Money Money Money. EA just wants to have our money! BF2 is so crappy cos EA wanted Dice to do it too fast, mass bugs , crashes and freezing due to unfinished game AND THANKS GOES TO EA.

Ubisoft ruins games too. Look at the Rainbow Six series. There are bugs in Ravenshield now (~v 1.6) that were in the MP Demo released months before retail.

EA ruins some, helps some.

I'm just going to say this first off to not confuse anyone. I hate EA for what they did to Westwood. I'm a die-hard C&C fan, and I loved all of the C&C series, except when it came to Generals. Yes, I did play it, but I really did not like it because it didn't have any of the backstory of the other C&C's. I mean, if they really wanted to sell a great game, they should've used the backstory from either the Red Alert series or the Tiberian Dawn/Sun/Firestorm games. I didn't really like Generals because I just couldn't get into the story. Don't get me wrong, the graphics were good, but it just failed in other areas. Thats just my $.02

Well I was trying to think of the two reasons I hate EA the most (and no not because its a big name swallowing up the smaller ones).

1. Everything is rated T for Teen. This is the same with movies now adays, almost every movie is rated PG-13 (even horror movies) instead of Rated R. When a movie is PG-13 you can noticed that it is missing some important parts to appeal to a more general crowd. As far as Games go, I would prefer a game Rated M over a game rated T any day because u know there wont be content edited out. This means our favorite UBI series of games will all be rated T instead of M when EA takes over aka (crappier games that are watered down to fit everyone instead of a specific audience).

2. EA has a tendency to make games more trendy. What this means is that the fans of a series will be left behind (like Rainbow 6 series) though the only reason that some games are around today are because of their fanbase. EA will eliminate fanbases alltogether because they are trying to appeal to everyone. So what does that mean when the take control of UBI? All of our tacticle shooters will become arcarde shooters (with women in special forces) and our favorite characters too cool to wear helmets where you have 60 round clips and can spray and pray to beat a level.

Thats why I don't like EA as this is evident in almost every single game developer they have bought. So I say get your UBI games while you can before EA ruins the series.

Generals was one of the first 3d RTS but it effectively killed the C&C brand. I have both Generals and Zero Hour and enjoyed them for what they were...nothing close to Red Alert series.

Ok this is an important point and I agree people love to hate EA and MS even as they buy their products. I think MS has done a great deal of good if not for them the PC industry would be nowhere near where it is, and thanks to MS's vast coffers they can offer products at a loss that move the industry forward.

EA killed off the C&C series, this is a fact. We want Red Alert or Nod not some bullshit Generals with no cutscenes.

EA ruined the medal of honor franchise. No support or anticheat killed allied assault and spearhead, then they pumped out shitty breakthrough and followed up that disaster with Pacific Assault -- a game with about 30 servers to play on.

Red Alert 2 best RTS ever in my opinion. You can't top that horrible actors trying so hard to be serious doing the dumbest thing + the best gameplay from any game I have played yet. Also would like to add has an awsome and powerful soundtrack. What got me is that first song you hear and it says Westwood Studios Proudly Presents and it has the music in the background, man I was hooked from then on.

Did EA kill the tried and tested method of live action cutscenes? Yuri's Revenge was the last one I can remember and it was awesome. The best intro was in Red Alert when Einstein goes back in time to kill Hitler and that actor who played Stalin was priceless.

Because its a trendy arcady car game. Not realistic in any way possible with more rice burners than good Muscle Cars.

Green Death Flavor, what on earth is it with you americans that any vehicle made outside the states is considered a "rice burner" ? Isnt the term rice burner a degoritory slander at the eastern guys? As Sandok said quite a few of the cars in the game are european, that being italian, UK, and german.Let me play devils advocate here and say that outside the USA, the USA "muscle cars" are considered some of the worst handling machines (a bit like harleys) ever so I guess a game with just those cars might not be that popular. We like corners!.

Anyway this thread is becoming quite ridiculous now with photochops of monkeys and commentary which is lets be honest, very inaccurate - and certainly nothing to do why "EA would suck". Ill leave it open for a while however it looks like it has run its course.

i think the big thing with ricers here is this

all show and no go. and more often then not, the body kits are poorly done, the body kit its self costs 3x more then the car is worth, the cars an old 80s POS thats mostly rusted out with a 2000 dollar sound system, rims, and fart can exhaust.

with that said, the tuners i can get along with just fine. its the idiots like what i just posted that are what drive every body crazy. nothing like an idiot in his civic revving it past red line at every red light...

as for our american muscle not being able to turn, we had no reason to turn. its all straight shots out here.
