I'm sort of having a bad day and need to get out of me head for a bit and just realized that I finally got a broadband connection on me gaming rig

Can anyone suggest any good UT or UT2k3 servers? I think I wanna try some online fragging...

Anyone feel like schooling me? I'm could use a bit of cathartic ultra-violence right now.

Hey Digi (and all else), check through your in-game browser in UT2k3 for {PDX} servers. . .there are a few, and I am often on one of them.

I'll give that a try, I haven't had ANY time lately to do nothing I wanted to so I've decided to just put the world on hold for a few hours and try and let me brain stop spinning.

I thought peeps weren't supposed to jump on clan servers unless they were in that clan...but I don't know much about squat about online gaming, yet.

As far as UT2003 goes I'm in the same boat

A nice young lady from Luxembourg actually held my hand around a couple of maps yesterday. She showed me where the 'ion painter' (awesome firepower but be careful

) was although I haven't yet found the 'redeemer' and also the adrenaline tricks. I always wondered how some peeps seemed to be moving much faster and jumping much higher than me. There's all sorts of keyboard commands too that you may be unaware of such as double-tapping keys to perform certain feats. I don't think all of these are explained fully in the manual so maybe Uberlord could give us some tips

To move faster than in UT you need to dodge-jump

UT dodge = tap direction key twice
UT2003 dodge jump= tap direction key twice and jump at the highest point on the dodge

You can also wall dodge - run into wall and dodge away
Boost dodge - dodge into wall - dodge away (v. hard)
Double wall dodge - double jump into wall - start dodge ASAP after 2nd jump and then boost-dodge (fekking impossible in combat)

UT2003 has loads of cool moves - its the Jackie Chan of the Bruce Lee beat em ups
