I do not agree

I love the new interface
Is more simple and i prefer it these way

I am not a fan of complicated menus and big text messages

The think that i do not liked so much is Fast travel
I would prefer the fast travel had random encounters just like Fallout had for example

Playing it at 1600x1200 but not with all options at max...i still need a 7900GTX

A 7900GTX won't even play this game smooth that high lol. My 7900GT @ 650/900 can't even do 1280X1024, high detail, HDR all that smooth.

I am level 14 now, and i am still using a crappy Silver Longsword.

Well, the first of them, I spawn a zombie to keep them busy, then just sword and lightning them. The silence, doesn't last long. You can also cast silence on them, if your quick. Just the last one at the bottom is insane. Kills my zombie in like one chop

there's another mod, that makes faces have much higher textures, imo that is also a must have in addition to the better waters mod. I've spent hours on the face of all my chars, maybe i'll post some screens later.

Anyway, i have 2 characters, 1 is a pure warrior at lvl 26 with max armor class and is extremely godly (hardly takes any damage physically), and my other is my healing conjurer; this ones pretty lame since all i do is summon a daeroth (errr the alligator looking thing) and run in circles healing myself lol.

I've figures (after using summon time extention mod, and also x2 summons same time mod) that the daeroth (alligator) is more powerful than any of the other summons. Just provoke one of them into attacking u, then watch the summons duel hehe

hehe on my other mage archer, i've been doing the same, but in addition to that i use another tactic. Since it's an illusion archer I just cast charm spells. Basically it makes them stop attaking u until u attack them (with an enemy lvl req), but it's prety fun way to kill when ur low lvl.

bahaha, I broke the damn game, I was so busy doing sidequests that it took a while for me to even notice that the main quests were missing where all my other quests are located. I went to Cloud Ruler Temple and guess what, the guys were missing lol. Like not there at all. So I went and helped out Bruma and suddenly their captain of the guard appears out of nowhere and I finish that quest, now this is the funny part. When it said I should go speak to Jauffree, guess wut? he was back at weynon priory in his regular monk uniform lol. And he gave me my next task. The bad thing about it is that when I asked him bout Martin, martin was at Kvatch camp still and he doesn't even have the option for me to continue quests for him : (. So I'm hoping it will reset, for now I will continue doin quests for Jauffree and hopefully the game can reset itself. If not I will await a patch lol and do some more sidequests.

I haven't even begun the main quests yet as I've really been enjoying the side quests and the Guild Quests.

But, I also found out how to get into the Dark Brotherhood. Not sure if I really want to at this moment. But, if I go back now, I have to give up my current armor and that sword I got.

Speaking of which, as soon as I killed Umbra a message popped up saying that the killing was noticed by an unknown party. Sure enough, when I went to rest I was interrupted by one of the Dark Brotherhood.

Seeing as how I don't want to go that route just yet, I've backtracked to just before killing Umbra. I'll deal with her later when one of the quests requires it.

I'm thinking along those lines as well. I don't think I really want to proceed at this time with the DB quests. IF I understand the situation correctly, if I were to refuse to do a quest for them, I could be on the run from them throughout the rest of the game.

don't worry bout the dark brotherhood, you won't kill off anyone you need for any other side quests or the main quest. Its not like Morrowind and the morrag tong.

+ its worth it to finish it up sometime and its not like the quest is goin anywhere though.

My quest log shows the Dark Brotherhod first quest is something that I could pass on since the last sentence states they won't bother me if I don't do it.

Ahhh...Thanks for the reply.

I was asking someone else about this and, interestingly, being part of the Dark Brotherhood has a side benefit as well: It makes getting money for the Thieves Guild easier. I may just proceed on.

And, yes, it was the Morag Tong that I was comparing this to, so, it's good to know I won't be breaking the game.

Also Dyre, I'd reccomend beating the thieves guild quests before the dark brotherhood ones. Mostly because the item you get from it helps loads with the dark brotherhood and not getting caught while killing something.

And as for me breaking my game I was at level 28, but I had a habit that stuck with me from morrowind. And that is saving a lot and multiple saves. So I have a save that was back at level 25 before I did any of the dark brotherhood quests and right when I first contracted vampirism. So I'ma leave the game for a while and maybe go read some books or something else to pass time.

OK, thanks a bunch. I'll definitely keep that in mind.

I haven't even attempted to progress any since I wanted to get a handle on just whether I should stay in the DB this early in the game.

Maybe I was taking too seriously the warning of the guy when he told me that I can not refuse to do anything they tell me to do. So, I could foresee some trouble ahead with that requirement. As long as I can postpone these 'required jobs' I think I can handle it.

Ok I am stuck and need help. I just started playing this game so I am not to far into. So far it's a GREAT game

Anyways my quest was to close the Oblivion gate right next to a castle. Then it led me into getting the main gate open so I could get into the castle but now I am stuck. I have to some how find these guys and kill them but I make it a little ways into the castle and there is no where for me to go. Every room is blocked off or leads no where??? If anyone has done this please help!!!

im just finisihing up the DB quests, im almost at the end of it. i highly recomend doing them, the quests are very fun and you pick up some damn nice items from it.

I was stuck there for a few seconds too.. Go into the gate.. STOP-- and press the open door button. Then you are transported.. Also I use my invisibility to get past the crazy dinosaur thing.. (I can go invisible for 60 seconds once a day).. don't bother trying to fight it. You may want to just run to the building and drink some potions to heal along the way.

You need to into the castle thing there to talk to those guys before you go into the gate I think.. but maybe not.

Very cool section of the game you are about to do.. I liked it. I am a little past that now- into yet another cool section of the game.

Anyone had any stability issues with it yet

I`ve had the game hang 3 times when exploring the wilderness. I get the slight pause and "Loading Area" will flash up on screen then the game will hang randomly. I have to switch to desktop, right click the Oblivion button in the task bar and close. If it doesn`t crash, I will get the Microsoft error report window when I quit the game back to Windows.

I`ve also heard of one or two stability issues on the X-Box360 version as well

I think there`s a patch on the way.

Yes, me too.. it is the game though, not my system.. It got better when I updated to the latest NV drivers.. I was using the xx.20's and the game did not like those too much. I am sure it is just the game though.

So it`s not just me and my puter then

The game won`t even run on my brothers Acer Ferarri lappy, that`s an AMD with ATI Mobility 9200 Gfx.
To be honest I think Bethesda have been a bit ambitious with the game and I reckon when the patch comes out the system requirements will drop a bit.

Yeah I just noticed I can go outside at night... I was sleeping and than BAM I was a Vampire??? But I don't want to be.... so does this mean i have to start over if I just want to play the game not as a vampire?
