You can either click and drag the item toward your character (release it when outside the menu interface) or you can hold left-shift and click on the item you want to discard.

Drag and drop them out of your inventory

The drag and drop method didn't work for me. If you want to throw items away, hold down the left shift button, then click the item.

I was about to get myself arrested the other night (on purpose) and jumped over a short wall and began to drop all my stolen goods -- using the left shift/click on item option as it was faster -- and as soon as I left the Inventory screen I watched my potions bottles and other rounded objects roll to the bottom of the hill and bounce off the wall there. The physics are awesome!!!

Hey guys havent posted awile BECAUSE of this game, have 40hours under me belt and jesus i love it. Any questions about it i can answer, i havent beaten it but i know a bunch of useful crap. Overall runs great on me card @ only 600/1100 (ocing higher doesnt help because its VERY CPU LIMITED), as its ported from the 360. I run @ 1280x960, 16xHQAF, HDR, almost max settings (cept shadows low) and i get: Min 23/ Average 35/ Max 70.

I've been trying to get some answers about the game from the official Bethesda forums and those forums have about crapped out with all the activity going on there. They've DISABLED the Search function and apparently the Email Notification as well. So, getting answers over there is like finding a needle in a giant hay field...not a haystack.

Anyway, one glitch is being reported that I definitely need to find out if the PC version is affected:

VAMPIRE CURE QUEST:

The problem being reported goes something like this: After finding all the items that the witch requested, for some reason ONE item isn't being asked for by her and therefore she's not making the potion and the character is stuck being a vampire.

Now, while being a vampire for a short time is pretty cool, it becomes a very serious problem as the quests continue. The reason being, everyone begins to hate you and, in a nutshell, you'll have to kill off every single person in the game if you want to survive. (Some people actually made that their major quest in Morrowind.....kill off everyone, that is.)

That's not my goal in this game and I really want to get this cure resolved before I spend many more hours and days on it. I also absolutely HATE to resort to a cheat command to resolve it, but, if this glitch is true, I don't see any other option at this time.

Hate to post what could be a spoiler, but, this does need to be addressed if it's a game bug.

I hear ya, man am I glad I stay away from vamps. They will never get near me because I learned my lesson in morrowind. Man Clavicus Vile wants my freakin awsome Umbra sword (yep its in here) except its just way too awsome, but I get his uber helmet of doom (also was in morrowind, and looks exactly the same)

Oh, here's a little trick if you need it:

When you're traveling through those dark caves, caverns, tunnels, and whatnot, if you're not quite sure if there are enemies around, just try Resting. If you can't rest, be ready for battle.

HERE is the thread you're looking for, Dyre. Plus, here is a little piece of info I found on their forums:

"Ok for you guys who bothered reading all the posts im gonna let you in on another console command.go to the old woman in the forest that offer you the vampire cure quest, open the console (~) and press her so you see her as a target, and you type: <set MS40.cureready to 5> that should do it. she thinks you gave her everything, and you just need to give her a little time to finnish the cure."

So, if your stuck, try the above.

On another note, I am so loving this game. I never really got into Morrowind, but after having played this for a long while, and enjoying every minute of it, I'm thinking that after I finish this game I might go back, and give it a run again.

it is a bug, ive done the mission and it didnt work, took ages too. http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.co...s.Detail&id=47 that is a good solution and it doesnt feel like a cheat as it works well via a shop.....

Zardon, thanks for that link and that mod file!!!

It DOES work wonders. I had to sell a couple of expensive robes to get enough coin to buy the potion, but it does work. I'm out in the sunshine for the first time in DAYS without taking damage.

Compare my Level 6 piccy in the Screenshots and Videos thread to this new Level 7 after the Vampire Potion Cure:

well I just beat all the main game and I have to say very impressed - I wont post any major spoilers but im waiting on my armour to be made

. im not sure ill put much more effort into the side missions but overall a great title with some class leading graphics.

Z, the side missions are the best part of the game. They make the main storyline look sad by comparision. Almost all of the missions are different requiring different user skills, its not just go here find that. These guys got truelly creative with the game and its so interactive. When I was doing some of these complex side missions I was just waiting for the game to break or glitch, something anything like Morrowind and everything worked like it was supposed to. I'm level 23 btw and I haven't even gone halfway through the main quest, been doin side quests mostly, I haven't done anything for the fighters guild, I got quite a few recommendations for the Arcane University (mages guild) though I killed a mage for the Thieves Guild and now I have to find 20 daedra hearts and 20 vampire dusts. Thieves guild, well I don't want to ruin it for you, but lets just say what you think happens will probably happen. Arena I became the grand champion quite a while ago.

O, I had a question about the Oblivion gates. I make sure I get them all marked on my map so I can travel to them when I need to but like, will I need to close all of them anyway so should I just start doin it now? Like are they in the main quest or just some sort of extra. I will continue my quest though and travel to the daedric shrines and get all the cool stuff they can give me.

I couldn't agree more about the side quests. This is what really makes the game in my opinion.

Some of these 'stories' can get very involved. I, too, have yet to actually start doing anything for the FG. I've done several things already for the MG. And, I just got into the TG recently.

Most of my time, until Z posted that mod for Vampire Cure, was spent trying to gather those things needed for the cure. Now I can focus on other things. I just hope that gal back in Skingrad doesn't run out of VC too soon. LOL!

It sure was nice to see the light of day again!!!

I couldn't disagree more about the side quests, I have found them all boring. Maybe I am just picking the wrong ones, but all the misc ones, and the fighter guild ones i've done were just boring.

What other guilds are you in? So far, I haven't commenced to do any of the FG ones. Mostly, I've done a few Mage Guild quests and some others. Some of the 'rewards' for completing quests are pretty decent.

Well you have to talk to the random people in the towns, listen to conversations, talk about rumors. Its very involved. There is one side quest where you have to explore this guys mind (like literally go into it) because he developed an amulet that lets you go into you own mind. Anyway it has 4 trials where you have to find all the parts of his mind, like courage, patience and some others.

There is also another one where a gay has a magical paintbrush and that lets the artist travel inside of his painting and paint it with his mind, except a thief robbed him drew some ugly looking ogers to protect him except they turned on him so you have to travel through the forest (it actually looks like what you would think a painted forest would look like) and get the paint brush back.

Also the haunted mansion quest is thrilling.

I don't want to name them all, but the creativity that went into these quests is amazing. I was like wait...I can do that? sweet

rewards for quests? pfft. not a one, besides maybe 100 gold. Only guild I am in is the Fighter's Guild. I am a horrible theif, and my magic is limited to a weak heal, and shock

so i can't see me joining the other guilds.

I think once you get into the Arcane university you can get your items enchanted. I already know what u get for beating the thieves guild quests. And its more than worth the trouble

One of the things about a game like this is that you improve your skills by using them....much like in real life.

Just because you're magicka skill is low now, doesn't mean you shouldn't continue using it. The more you use it, the better you get and then your skill level increases. Same for thievery, sneaking, pickpocketing, blade, hand-to-hand...etc, etc.

You'll miss out on a lot of the content in the game by not joining as many guilds as possible. Some of these, if it's like Morrowind, may put you in a quandary about what to do as one guild's quest might conflict with another guild's quest. How you proceed has an impact on your character's ability to deal with others.

Then, of course, there are quests that have nothing to do with any guilds. Just visit a place and something is bound to happen.

Have you determined how to select a quest to be your active quest? If not, that would be a big help and allow you to see indicators on your map as to where you objective/s is/are and will be a very good guide.

I understand that RPG may not appeal to everyone. That may be the case with you. It was something I didn't understand until I persevered with Morrowind simply because I was so enthralled with the graphics of that game and how it played. I think I even restarted it fresh about 5 times. LOL!

Anyway, if any of us can give you some guidance, we're very happy to help.

I just finished the final quest for the Theives Guild, and I must say it was much more interesting (and fun) then the main quest line. I have yet to join the fighter or mage guilds, I enjoy finding the not so obvious quests and doing them, mainly because the Theives Guild and the Dark Brotherhood was basicly made for my class. (Theif)
there is still so much more to be done in the game, its very entertaining

ive also noticed that the game is, well, pretty easy. I have yet to run into a problem of not being able to get past any quests due to my class/level, and have rarely ran into the problem of the what I call Mega-Man Effect, dying over and over at the same spot. The developers have done a great job in making sure none of these are issues, but I find my self flying through the quests, I'm not even trying to do them fast, I dunno, maybe im just too good at single-player games?

*edit* completly forgot about the difficulty setings. ive got it some place above 3/4's. i should set it to max and see what its like. im sure it will piss me off to no end, but it will also extend play time that much more.

the quests them selfs dont seem to be too hard.

now if your an avid castle hunter.... holy hell have i gotten my ass handed to me in some of those castles. over, and over, and over again.

main quest, i really havnt even touched it. i talked to the monk and thats been the end of it so far.

for the guilds, i just joined the mage and fighter guilds today. working my way into the university now. and for the Dark Brotherhood, ive done 4 or 5 hits so far.
