OBLIVION help,for those who have finished or are far in the main story onlySPOILERS

Is the purpose of the game just to roam around trying to find and close all the oblivion gates or what? Or is there more to the main storyline? I had the metting with the one guy from the Mystic Dawn in the sewers, and have all four books now. That guy told me that each word of each paragraph has a secret meaning however it doesn't mean anything to me. No hint where to go or anything. Am i missing something here, or do i just walk around and close gates?

You have all 4 books yes? go back to the Arcane University and talk to the Argonian. She will put it together for you I believe. Follow the arrow if there are any and make sure that is ur active quest

if you hit the TAB key, and go into your active quests you will see what you have to do. also a little MAP icon will show up top right, if you click that it will give you an indication of where to go for that quest.

Just to add a little to what Zardon said about accessing your Quests: You can select any one of your quests to be your Active Quest. That will eliminate numerous 'gem' icons on the map and help guide you to the current quest you've selected.

Ya it would never do anything for main quest anymore. It would bring up the map to my location, and not to the red arrow. No red arrow even on the compass anymore either.

Same thing happened to my current fighter's guild quest. I am suppose to find 10 eptoplasym (sp?) for this guy but i have no clue where to find it.

If you have talked to Argonian after having all four books, and he says the stuff about the secret meanings, he says come back later so he can think about it, you simply mess around for a day or just wait/rest for a day and go back, unless the active quest says otherwise, its hard to remember exactly what I did, it all blends togeather now.

It sounds to me like you're not setting up your Quest menu correctly. I'm going to post a few piccies to see if you're doing it like this.

Allright, who trains in Armorer. I'm getting tired of goin back to town just to repair my enchanted stuff. Anyone know who will train in armorer? I'm almost there

I went back to the university, he told me where to go. When i got to the lake instead of making killing the prisoner i just attacked that Camaron guy

It was a blast trying to get out.
