DH Review: Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter: Xbox 360

Andy has just finished up his latest review and we have crammed three videos in this one for your viewing pleasure !

Lately we’ve been coming across a lot of titles that you just know are going to be great even before you’ve actually tried the game out. When the words Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter drip from Ubisoft’s mouth it was difficult to not even be the least bit excited. Although many would have embraced the idea of having this one as a launch title, it seems as if Ubi used the extra development time to produce what is arguably the best entry in the Ghost Recon series ever.

Nice review, wish I had an 360....is there any chance this one coming out for PC..?

EDIT: It seems seems as it IS coming out for PC, might just have to check it out..

Looks like a great game, sadly I have to wait for it to be released on pc.

That guy was standing too close to the convoy so my other teammates wouldn't shoot. I figured I would waste him right there but eventually he got the idea and moved out of the way

Its now out but it'll be realease on May 6 (like they said on gamespot).

I really enjoyed playing an hour at my friend's house. On hix360 it looked really good. Now, gotta wait to see the demo (if there will one) on pc.

Nice review as always! Can't wait for PC but apparently, HUGE gameplay changes and ubisoft are adament it's almost a new game...

When I saw the trailer on tv the other day, I instantly thought Command & Conquer, They it said tom clancy, I was left saying to myself, that's a C&C Renegade ripoff.

Great review. I totally agree with Andy. This is another must buy game for the 360. Only problem is that if it wasn't for Oblivion, I'd be playing it right now.

My only quip about the game is the lack of team control. It's very basic, and the AI don't do a good job of covering themselves (order your team to a corner, and one guy will be standing around the corner, wide open, back to enemy, while the others will be covered). I think the reason this stands out for me is that I'm used to Full Spectrum Warrior's AI control.

Other than that, the game is almost flawless. As soons as I'm done with Oblivion I'll get back to playing it again.

And Vip3r: C&C Renegade ripoff? Take it from someone who's actually played the game.. it's not.

God no. they dont play anything like each other (thank god as renegade is an awful title IMO).

Is this REALLY worth getting? I currently only have PGR3 for the 360 and i would really like a game worth while that would keep me intertained at it for quite sometime. I mean with Tomb Raider just around the corner i just don't know if i should get this game now...

I just hope the PC version comes off as well as this one seems to but NOT like R6 Lockdown did and Ubi "claiming" it was a completely different game and it turned out to be a prettied up Port....tho the Xbox 360 is a little more online with PCs these days I hope the latest delay on the PC version is to COMPLETELY distance itself from its console brethren

Renegade felt like a first person side scroller where you never needed to reload, there wasn't even recoil. Cheesy as hell to. I know cause its in my C&C collection. The C&C series and al their games have almost nothing in comon with Tom Clancy's books, except that they both have to do with the millitary. Furthermore I believe Tom Clancy started writing well before renegade and most of the C&C games. Though he did not make the game he has to approve it for his name to be stamped on there. When you see the name Tom Clancy on a game (excluding lockdown) you know that means tacticle action quality

Well I was thinking of the C&C games in general, The reason I said renegade was for the lockon red icons, that is what threw me off. But looking at the screenshots looks like something from blackhawk down. Is this game going to be ported to PC?

not "ported". Ubisoft would know that would be a mistake. The one for the PC will be signifcantly different than the one for the 360. In fact I tihnk it may be fps only.

Tactical fps is not my cup of tea, and I never really got round to playing the original Ghost Recon (even though it came bundled with my graphics card), but I'm really interested in this one.

Awsome game, finally got it today and i'm really enjoying it. It's a real challenge even on normal and the HDR looks insanely good.
