is it just me or do u guys get raped by bears too...im level 18 and hav full elven armour but still when i block i just get raped :S

my tactic now is when i encoutner one i strip naked lol and run cos then im faster

I am level 16 Battlemage now

I am using strafe and withdraw back throwing in the process some fireball and some destruction magic

sometimes when their life is drained enough i just get close and finish them with a sword and block with a shield so i do not lose to much life
just to get some Blade or Blunt weapon experience points

I can heal after that with Restoration magic

My tactic is to find a tall rock and climb onto it. I try to find one that has a tall 'front side' and I use my summons commands to summon scamp and zombie. I can cast flames, too. But, once their life is drained enough, I use a blade on them. The trick is to find a rock that the bears and other creatures can't climb so well. If you can keep them focused on your summons creatures they won't be coming after you so much.

If you think the bears are something, wait till you see a Minotaur.

i just go running around outside looking for caves and such. i think it starts poping up around lvl 14- 15 or so

meh...minotaurs r nothing...killed 3 of em in the arena no probs...just in the wilderness bears rape me..the so fast and their attacks go thru my armour...

btw does anyone know where i can get a glass sword...im lvl 19 and ebony stuff is starting to popup, ive got glass everything else in weapons form but NO GLASS SWORD....pissing me off actually that no one carries a glass sword....

Have you found the Robbers Glen Cave? I can't recall if a Glass Sword was among the immense treasures found, but, there are some really nice things there.




Also, I do think there was a Glass Sword in the Gutted Mine.

i find every other guy has a glass sword and im level 22, been seeing glass swords for the last 3-4 levels now. bout the time i hit level 21, full glass armor started poping up.

of for the bears, i just summon a deadroth and he takes care of them no problem. black bears atleast. brown bears take a bit more work.

meh....i did the gutted mine quest and they only had glass daggers, enchanted bows and arrows, glass warhammer, ebony warhammer....but no glass sword

Its definitely a level thing, I got a couple of glass swords in Anvil doing the fighters guild quest (the second one). You'll probably find that after you next level up they'll be everywhere!!

I'm now at Level 24 and I'm finding glass everything. Even in the cave to the West/Southwest of Imperial City. All those bandits were wearing at least one thing of glass.

Not only a level thing, but it also has to do with the characters class, and generally, a lot of things are just random drops. While those places that Dyre mentioned before in his earlier post are good to get the items that, it doesn't necessarily mean you will get them. As mentioned, the higher your level, the higher the characters you face, and the better the equipment they carry.

Bears are TOUGH. I am a level 27 fighter. full glass armor, and a weapon that does close to 50 damage and i still have a hard time. If there is another creature near by, I will not make it.

I got board an decided to take on a dozen gards and lived to tell the tail
thier lillte match for by bound armor, and summoned helper... the key is let you summoned ceature do the figting / take the damage...

now that im level 23, im starting to find deadric armor. its about the same defense as ebony, but its easily half hte weight.

I am level 33 custom class "adventurer". Using glass armor, glass shield and a daedra sword. I need 10 hits and brown bear is dead. I got blade skill 100 though.

You pretty much use the same tactic I do. I'm up to Master Conjuration and my Destruction skill is pretty high as well. I'm glad you can cast summons as you beat a trail AWAY from enemies.

Me as well...having summons is the easiest way to win fights, especially if there's nothing to climb up to give you the height advantage. For now, i just use zombies and scamps, but my (new) guy is only level 5.

I have the pleasure of 2 games going, one with a theif/marksman wood elf, the other a big burly stinky orc, who weilds blunt weapons nicely and has good conjuration/destruction/alteration magic to boot

I'm lvl 20 warrior and never had a problem killing the bears. Just backup when he swipes at you then get a few hits in. Don't even try to block. They go down really quick with Umbra.

What is the best shield and armor you guys gave used? I finished the main quest with the Tower of 9 and now use the Imperial Dragon Armor plus a Draemora Shield thats 19hp. I don't know which one to keep right now the weaker armor that has magic or the heavy armor with no magic.

summoning demora lord, seem to be my favorite.... I'd love useing bund armor and weapons
but but then you can't bloody use any other spells.. like shield or heal. Wich you find really
sucks when you ran out of healing potions, you heath is low, you bound armor hasn't expires
and you being raped by one or more creatures... it like run, oh sh*** run, run , run oh sh***......

meh...what level are you guys and how much magicka do you have?

Im level 21 now and i have no where near enough magicka, its around 250 right?

my intell and the other attribute that makes you regen magicka fast are both around 70s
but my total magicka is around 170 only....

the higher your conjuration skill, the lower magic requirements are for summons. at level 100, the cost for a dreamora caitiff is only about 23 magic. a xivila is 120, and lich is 140.

that and another artifical limitation i hate you can't suumon more then one creature at a time,
it be sweete to sumon you own little mini army in tight spots....

that and when fighting with you summoded creature if your sord or arrow hapens to hit them,
they turn on you and attack! WTF?? what they think'in.... that and i've found with solen hourses

In Morrowind, you CAN summon more than one at a time. I really miss that! The only limitation was the amount of Majicka you had with which to summon them.
