Spellforce 2

Any RTS fans are going to love this game (not a pure RTS, but one of a kind style game genre). If like me you adored the first series this just builds on that with improved graphics, better voice acting and a fine tuned interface.

So far after a few hours, im very impressed, which is good because I was ready to be disappointed like I am so often with games.

Nice game
But i have never seen it in any stores
Not Spellforce 1 and not these either

I wonder why they do not sell it in all countries

Really? thats most strange. I loved the first one and played all the expansion packs. I was waiting on this for quite a long time. I was partially expecting it to be improved graphically but for the gameplay to be poor and losing the feel of the original. They have really ironed out some minor niggles with the interface, improved the graphics and finally got in some decent voiceactors.

It really is a very different RTS and ranks as one of my favourites. I havent played this long enough yet to see how it develops but its shaping up very well. Its not really like a standard RTS as you have an "avatar" and you can level up, pick up weapons, spells. and heroes can join you. Then they throw in more traditional style of RTS by having armies, buildings etc that you can create.

Its a great series and highly recommended. Quite a breath of fresh air in the somewhat style RTS genre right now. Last one I loved was warhammer 40k, nothing much out since then.

In which ways does this game compare to/differ from NeverWinter Nights?

I've enjoyed NWN and the addons. The story is quite compelling which is always a plus for me.

I honestly have no idea, I never liked neverwinter nights, i installed it once, got bored and deinstalled it.

Not sure if you will like spellforce 2, its not quite as indepth on a role playing level as the games you tend to like. more RTS with a dash of RPG thrown into the mix.

i had played the demo of Spellforce 1

It was not perfect but liked it a lot

The only problem for me is that it was never released in most European countries

Now as about Spellforce 2 i was in their forum..
and from what i read the good news is that it will be available in more countries these time
but AGAIN is not going to be available in all European countries

Did anyone say why? it was available in the Uk ok, I bought it on friday afternoon......
