Mouse Lag in CS1.6beta?
I just tried to play CS1.6Beta a few times, and I noticed something extremely annoying - there is a very large and noticable lag between me moving my mouse and my screen showing the move. This isn't because of bad pings - I was at 35ms at one server, and it still happened there. I really can't play like this - I'm a twitch player, and if I don't see instant results from the twitch I do it again, and then a half second later I move two twitches over (~180+ degrees), which is WAY too far... has anyone else had this problem? Has anyone else fixed it? I know it isn't a hardware problem - this doesn't happen in other games... OH, and I tried - changing the mouse filter setting didn't do anything (which is the only setting that I can think of aside from the sensitivity that could change things... and the sensitivity needs to be really high for me to be able to play well
) Any help would be appreciated.ToshiroOC

I encountered something similar, as my mouse wasn't moving as fast as it did on my desktop, and was going quite slow.
A simple driver update aided this immensely, and, to note, this was a logitech mouse. I can only suggest that you attempt an upgrade on your drivers if you haven't already. Also, keep in mind that 1.6 is still in a beta test phase and still has many bugs. If a driver update does not help, go to www.steampowered.com and report it to valve in the steam forums as a bug providing the most information possible. |

Ok, thanks... I'm using a wireless Microsoft Intellimouse, so its probably not a mouse driver problem... I'll install new drivers all around and hope they fix things...
