A clinic that has opened to treat video game addicts in Holland has been swamped with desperate pleas for help by parents and children worldwide.

Keith Bakker, the American director of the Smith & Jones clinic in Amsterdam and a former drug addict, said: "The phone has been ringing constantly. Computer game addiction is obviously an even greater problem than we imagined."

He told The Sunday Times: "These are perfectly decent kids whose lives have been taken over by an addiction.

"Some have given up school so they can play games. They have no friends. They don't speak to their parents." The clinic will begin treating two British teenagers but others are expected from across the world.

Yeah I want help, I was stuck on the last level of chromehounds on the xbox 360 last night but I beat it.
