It's quake 3, if you like quake 3 get it but if you want UT style gameplay look elsewhere.

I would have to agree there as I found Ut 2003 to be more like a quake clone than it's predessor ( which imo is better )

If you have played the original UT then it won't be much different. The only real huge difference is the graphics. They are a huge improvment. Too bad it runs like crap on my system.

Its an extremely solid title, if you like a great title to play multiplayer I'd really suggest you buy it.

I agree, try the demo and see if you like it. It should also be fairly cheap to buy the game now; probably $30-35 at most places. The mods will also add a ton of new features that will keep this game fresh for a long time.

My first opinion of the game was that it was a Quake Clone.... which just gagged me.... But since I was a huge fan of the original UT, I stuck with it and I'm glad I did. The graphics are real nice and once you get it tweaked for your system you can get the old UT feel back with some minor adjustments to the FOV setting, I believe that 90 was the FOV setting in UT as compared to 85 that UT2003 uses by default.

Since I have been playing UT2003, I have changed my gameplay habits considerablly. I used to mainly play CTF in UT, but I hardly ever play it in UT2003. I like the Double Domination game style and the new Bombing Run can be a blast if your team has a good idea what is going on. I also play much more DM in UT2003 than I ever did with the original.

BE FORWARNED IT'S A RESOURCE PIG It takes 4-ever to give back your system when you quit the game.

You got me wrong man....I love ut2k3 and I played the first unreal tournament online for years in clans ecc.....but with this one I dunno but or I didn't have the time or I didn't fell like playing it that much online.....and so....As I played the single player and finished it a couple of times in different difficulties and after playing it a lil bit online I stopped cause as I said I didn't fell like continue playing it......its just me.....other games came out and I got addicted to 'em...(generals, unreal 2, ecc)
