Cracking game.....

so far in the 30 minutes i have played the game runs incredibly smooth and optimized.

I just fell in love with it.

Graphics wize OMG..... also i can run it in next gen mode.

cant wait to hear more people and there views on the pc version of Double Agent.

Here's some PC screens taken at 1280x960. Next Gen Mode (8xAF,HDR,soft shadows all else on high).

Not as smooth as Chaos Theory but pretty good. I'll probably turn off soft shadows and see if that boosts fps.

The graphics look about the same as 360 in my estimation. I don't like the new interface it's just one of many things they "consolized" for the PC version.

Damn I had "max frames render ahead" to 0 that might have affected the framerate.

EDIT: It did. With default at 3 the menus are laggy when picking guns but at 0 there's no mouse lag and fps is slightly higher.

I have been putting of the buying the game because i seen this. I guess my x850xtpe just is crap these days since sm 3.0... if somone else here with my card can play the game well, please let me know.

I guess i just dont understand how an older card like the 6600gt can be supported but not an x850xtpe? crazzzzzy if you ask me.

It's ironic because when Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory came it was one of the first games to have SM 3.0 and people said it wasn't worth upgrading cause SM 2.0 looked the same. Don't be surprised if a patch is released to make the game SM2.0 compatible after all they are going to sell far less copies by cutting out all those X800 series cards.

i guess they didnt take this into account a year ago. too bad i really wanted to play it. but im not willing to shell out money to.

Ugh this game is pretty buggy. Dialogue cuts off during briefings, you can't hear gunshots sometimes and the game crashes in some levels

They'll probably have these all fixed 6 months from now but it blows for people who get games when they come out.

I was hoping against hope, but, alas, my X800 XL can't run the game. The opening sequence runs fine and dandy, and I'm able to access the menu, options, etc. But, just as soon as I try to load map....RUNTIME ERROR....Access violation!

Well, I'm not totally out on the game. I have a X1950 Pro PCIe card sitting here on my shelf and just trying to get the mobo, cpu, and RAM to finish my upgrade. It's been almost two years since my last big upgrade, so, it's about time.

The menus and the intro looks nice, but when i play the game it has graphical corruption
, in the left upper corner i see a rectangle of approx. 5 by 5 inches , in this rectange the game has exellent quality.

outsite the rectangle i see the game too but heavy graphical corruption.

when i swiths to heat or night vision i can slightly see the game through horizontal stripes.

I tried alot of graph. settings but no go.

Running Dx9 October 2006 and Forceware 93.71

It passes the harware diagnostic, all green.
My card Supports shader 3.0.

Nothing in my system is OC'ed

Anyone have a clue how to solve it ? , it driving me crazy.

Not sure I got what you're saying but if you have antialiasing forced on in the control panel the game gives graphical glitches.

Wow Thanks verry much, didn't know that, i tought the game automaticly disables the forced AA setting from the control panel.

I changed the AA from 16x to App. Controlled, and indeed the Game runs fine now with "Next Gen" Enabled, its a beauty.

The first patch is already out no word on change list but it adds antialiasing option in display settings and there are a lot of multiplayer fixes. I don't believe it has anything with SM2.0 compatibility.

Once you get your copy of SCDA on the PC, before playing the multiplayer make sure to get Patch v1.01! Right now the auto-install program is not working properly but will be remedied shortly. In the meantime please install the patch manually.

Current Release Notes:
this patch fixes various issues when playing onlinte. These issues mostly concern invitations and squad features. Some disconnection issues have been treated as well.
Some minor single-player issues have been addressed as well, especially for the anti-aliasing feature.

Finaly guys though testing first ubisoft has given us AA+HDR enabled at the same time.
i can not verify this with NVIDIA cards though as i dont own one anymore lol

HDR+AA doesn't work on Nvidia I tried it. Kinda pissed at this game I just ran into a safe where the cracking controls don't work.

It's not a PC Game, but a Monster.
Playing it on Xbox360 maybe a good choice.

Played the demo and I am extremely disappoint. The graphics feel like a crappy port and the game just doesn't keep my attention anymore. The storyline doesn't draw me in at all. Just more of the same thing.

Maybe I'll re-install SC:CT again. Yes it has starforce but I don't care!

I tried the demo and quickly uninstalled it, because the default key config is crap. Some of the keys I can't even change. For anyone who has the full version, can you remap ALL the keys? Also, the demo wasn't running very smoothly on my system, even with aa and af turned off.

No, you cant remap all keys.

As for the safe not having working controlles. I had the same thing - you need to scroll up/down alot with your mousewheel and the controls will work again. Probably a bug.

Yes you can remap keys I put a couple of them on my mouse by going into the controls section.
