Splinter Cell games
Hi All
I just picked up Splinter Cell Chaos Theory yesterday and I'm really digging it. I want to know if it is worth going and getting Pandora Tomorrow and the first game as well. I remember that I tried the demo of the first game and was really frustrated because I could only quicksave 3 times before my "PDA" ran out of juice. I'd also like to know how Double Agent compares to Chaos Theory.

splinter cell is still pretty good, even today after so many years have passed.
Pandora Tomorrow is ok but it does sort of miss out the most important elements the original had. Chaos Theary.... for my opinion nothing surpasses this game in this category.and re-instated the points missed out in Pandora Tomorrow. As for Double agent: This game is pretty good and has a huge amount of potential but the pc version shows the usual console port problems,Meaning the pc version is bugged to hell,Game save are a total joke, the controls are a pain in the ass to remap etc. A little more info on Double Agent can be viewed Here. I am determind to finish DA but i still think this is going to go up for sale via ebay quite soon. But after all this is only my opinion. |

Chaos Theory is by far the best of the series with Pandora Tomorrow coming in a close 2nd, Double Agent in 3rd (though I'm not done it yet) and the original Splinter Cell being a solid entry but dated.

I just saw a tv blurb on the third game, and noticed they said its all in the day now. If that's the case, I consider getting it.. I'd much rather play in the light then pitch black. I just didn't care for the stealth and sneak aspect while in the dark, I could however, deal with it if I could SEE the level this time.
Also could you tell me if the PC version has StarForce like the last one did? |

i would say after you play chaos theory, go to DA, dont go backwards until you have finished the last 2 in the series....then if you need more splinter cell, try the first 2

I'd get both, but pandora tomorrow is a bit better if you can only get one.

The is no need to restart you're pc after the install so i'd presume no it hasn't. I have no idea if it's noticeable via the files. |

I've played the first three and was very impressed with them. The one thing that did bug me about the first two was the absence of a knife!! How does a guy do stealth operations without a KNIFE!? Well, Chaos Theory took care of that one.
As for the night-time stealth, I used the night goggles religiously. If things got too bright, I'd use the silencer to shoot out some lights. ![]() I've had to upgrade my system to be able to even play DA and am biting at the bit to see how it plays. More later.... |
