It's never coming out for PC mate, although I haven't done any research lately and although Microsoft said a few months back they were looking to bring out more games for Windows.

It's really annoying though considering many games such as Halo was a PC only game

Check your sources, Halo 2 is being released as a VISTA only game requireing DX10 apparently in the next year (2007).

That is, unless it has been canceled in between my last info or something...

Halo is available for the xbox.

If i'm incorrect halo was released on the xbox first and was shortly later ported to the pc!

Well I did just say I haven't done any research lately mate...

And whats this VISTA ONLY B*****KS ??? Thats a rip-off, the majority of programs and games are for Windows XP. If they can make games for Xbox 360 and for the older generation of Xbox, then they can do the same for Windows. Lazy Clowns.

And the Vista only part? I guess tis the only way to sell the OS for hardcore gamers...

the only reason i sold it was the performance was crap due to it being a console port over to the pc.

The other prime example for console ports is sc: double agent which is so problematic on the pc.

To answer the first question posted...

Halo 2 is poised to be released in spring/summer of 2007 in the US (I think most shops have it listed for a June release). There were rumors it was going to be released along side Vista, but as far as I've understood, it will not launch untill mid-year. It is a Vista only title.

Its my experience, that games that run on Xp run just fine on Vista. Only problem being that drivers are still early (but much better then they were a few months ago). SCCT had trouble with me on Beta 2, probably because of the rediculous copy protection. However, all games I play not run just fine (Oblivion, WoW, CoH, Steam Games, BF2, Hitman, etc.)

Most likely Vista will come out with Vista Ultimate so they can get gamers to buy it I mean how long can it take them to make the game all they have to do is port it over.

so true. playing that game on PC will be much better and smoother than it ever did on xbox.
