Anyone get Halo Combat Evolved & FSAA to work?

Found this covered with dust, figured i'd fire it up again and give it a spin..

2560x1600 makes the game look good in some places, and obviously dated in others...

kinda hopeing that halo 2 will prove to be tuned to take full advantage of Vista and..

anyways heres a few shots..

i've been browsing around the net for possible solutions... but haven't found anything.. didn't see anything related to the omegas though.

is this game exactly like the one on the xbox? or are there any addons to the PC version over the xbox version?

there are mods...

but other then the xbox vs pc... appears to be indentical in every way

Thats not correct...

There are a few more mulitplayer maps in the pc version also there is the rocketlauncher warthog, and the flamethrower.......

I know my Halo Pc =)

Game is a lot of fun on PC. Never played it online, but single player is just as much fun as Xbox, IMO. You can probably get it for 10 bucks by now, certainly worth the price of admission.

I installed a copy of a friend's of mine for about 2 days. It felt average for a PC FPS game, what I did not like at all though was how the mouse speed could not go very fast. Don't know why.

mouse speed should be able to be adjusted in the options of the game. did you try that?

holy crap... bluemak, you may want to check something, cause i had to turn the mouse sensitivity down because i i'd be spinning 360's moving the mouse 1/4 of an inch...

Halo and FSAA just won't work. Period.
Unless you force it to run in SM1.1, I believe. But why'd you want to do that? lol
When it's running normally, in SM2.0, you just can't do FSAA in Halo for some weird technical mumbo-jumbo reason.
So, your best bet is to just run it at that uber-high resolution and live with it.

Well the game seems to work better than in the past. For some weird reason it even feels a better game than the last time I tried it. I always did love the music though.

As for FSAA, I have no idea, better listen to fobis.
