As two days go past I am kind of shocked no one has posted anything lol. I guess members at Driverheaven are to busy playing their 360???

Kind of off topic but you being with ATI I think you bought the wrong system lol. But at least thank you SO MUCH for building a better GPU chip for the 360!!!

Can we keep this thread on topic? He wasn't asking for your opinions on the PS3. He was asking if anyone has a PS3 and what their nick is on the network.

He gave his nick, it was the first thing typed in his post.

Who made you the thread police?

I don't believe I read anything in the DH rules when I joined stating that off-topic posts are not allowed.

No disrepect meant to Terry with this post at all btw. I just can't stand thread police.

That being said however, I don't own a PS3. I picked the 360 because it's what could be afforded for Christmas since my parents were picking up the tab.

I'm way too underpaid for my job

bump ... lets get euro ps3'ers on my list as well! welcome guys.

note... DH and ATI share a folding@home team so if you have a ps3 make sure you get the F@H application and enter team 51394 in the options.

Ya, and not just that, the front end looks absolutely stunning. It's a big model of the world that rotates and there are lights on the parts of the world that have people folding.

I dont have time to find a link to screenshots but if you care do a google search for it, it really does look good.

remember ... team 51394 needs you!!!!

i subbmited this to the news section but it doesnt look like its going to the front page.

http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/home-ente...nge-246664.php

"I discovered that a small legion of 13,000 PS3s running the Folding at Home app account for most of the computing power in the project, amounting to about 56 percent (PS3s = 316 measured TFLOPS) of the total."

"This also means the PS3 met Stanford professor Vijay Pande's expected one-month goal in one day"

thats some insane power right there.

And even more insane is that ATI graphic cards are 2 times more powerful than the PS3 . If only we can get more graphic card owners to join up and fold it would help the cause even more.
right now only about 700 GPU's are folding ;-(

Curious, how is GPU foldering working for crossfire setups, specifically under Vista, i had run into a number of issues causing the GPU to stop responding in Vista and XP with crossfire disabled and enabled and ended up not folding at all again. I'd like to get back to it, but i'm finding it difficult to get the sucker working again.

Has a Folding @ Home GPU/Multi GPU program be completed or is it still all beta yet?

edit

read through the faq on the website.... looks like beta 3 is available now

its still beta (but then again so is the single GPU version)... its one of those programs that will probably be beta for a long time (since its not comercial)... but thats just a guess.

I think CF works fine for folding on both vista and xp (but havent verified it myself)

The Folding@Home doesn't remember my name and team number when I exit the program. It does remember the project that it was working and will continue it. Does anyone know if its supposed to remember my name and team number?

Yup, it should remember your name and team. Are you referring to cpu, gpu or ps3 folding?

I would say see if you can delete it and re-download it again. Not sure how to do that though, just screw around with it a bit.

Same as my name (interspaced). I have motorstorm and resistance and i'm from the UK. On a dodgey wireless connection but resistance plays flawlessly online wish the same could be said for motorstorm which is a bit hit and miss at the moment.

bogged down with work at the moment but that should change this summer.
