Whats ur opinion on BF 2142?

Just picked it up.First game i've purchased since COD2 for PC....

I enjoyed it. the ads are kinda annoying though.

its a game I played over and over again until I got a widescreen monitor and all EA games ceased to function magically

BF2142 was o.k i wouldn't say brilliant mainly because when it worked for me it was a brilliant game but I also got alot of CTDing and graphical corruption after playing for 15+ mins so it was also annoying in that respect

I only played the beta and I didn't like it very much.
Static ads I will deal with if the game is good, dynamic ads I will not deal with until every game in the world has them. Even then I'm not sure if I will deal with them or throw my PC out the window.
The best thing about the bf series is the amount of servers and players for online play. That doesn't mean much though if the game runs like crap.

I played in the 2 day beta that was on fileplanet and that was enough for me to decide not to touch it.

They, basically, reskinned BF2 and added Titan mode. Also, it seems like the engine is an older version of BF2 and most of the same bugs are there in BF2142.

Ad's are also another thing that I will not support.

If like bringing SCI fi to the battle field it totally kills those shreads of reailty
that make that game war game fun... I like BF2 i don't care for 2142

I think it was the worst game every made by EA and if they contiune to make games like that I will never buy anything from them again. I played the beta and the demo and was unimpressed with both. It had almost the same bugs and was built on that piss poor engine they build a game on.

I loved all the other BF games up until 2142. I give it a 1 out of 5 stars for trying lol.

Ive played the beta with a friend, didnt like it. Played the demo, was even worst. I guess its a new game that EA made to make extra money, but not a good game imo. My friends love it, thay play alot. I play BF2 not BF2142.

You should start playing Renegade. Sure the graphics suck, but it is the most fun online game I have ever played and continue to play for the last 4.5 years now.

If you go through gamespy arcade, get into n00bless all out war or unrules.com servers.
At one point you might hear something about rg, that is renguard, that is an anti cheating program. Also download the cp2 or core patch 2.

You can download rg from http://www.renguard.com/downloads.php

If you need any help let me know.

There are also hundrends of maps available, you can download some of them from www.unrules.com Servers that have new maps are usualy named new maps or something. The servers mentioned above do not require the new maps.

I can't agree with any of the replies i've seen so far, B2142 once your a month in is an amazing fps. Seriously its indepth game play and its map work are just great. I hated the beta to but the full version is fun as hell. Its totally different then bf2 it has this chaotic powerful pace to it like no game i've ever played. Plus the hit detection is spot on with some lapses at times.
