World of Warcraft + Vista
Has anyone ran into problems yet? This is my fourth Uninstall / Reinstall. Everytime a Patch comes in, my WOW seems to crash. I repair, and still no dice. I dont know WTF is going on, but its getting old. thoughts?

6 vista machines, 6 warcraft installs..... no problems here thus far.
What i do is pop the disk in, install everything.. and then i always RIGHT CLICK WoW's icon and run as administrator, let it patch up and should be fine.... However every install has been installed AWAY from the C partition. I've ran into numerous stupid problems trying to install and run games that by default, install to C:\Program Files\etc.

Just cancelled my WOW subscription untill I finish my build. This is pissing me off. I think it may be the lack of ram on Vista causing me problems. With wow running i hit around 96% usage, I use readyboost to help. I also have my pagefile on another drive.

Uh..... i've a machine here running windows vista ultimate, on a 1ghz pentium 3, radeon 9550, creative audigy sound card and 512mb of SDRAM, ALSO running the vista areo interface, and i can tell you, warcraft runs well enough to play on it. (1024x768 is imo, the limit mind you before the nose dive to low fps takes place).
I'd say take your OCs off and see.... or if you do a fresh install... try only installing video card/audio/motherboard drivers, and then install WoW and see what happens.

world Of Warcraft Keeps Crashing
i keep getting a problem with wow and vista always restarting 20 seconds after logging in it will let me walk through towns but when i leave i get a freeze and the pc restarts ive done all the run as admin and it still persists can anyone help me is there a patch or anything people are always debating on how theirs works on vista ultimate when most people have vista home premium so is there a way around this problem

I'd suggest runnning the FULL REPAIR .. (it's in the world of warcraft start menu)....
it may have a suggestion....

has it been tried on vista home premium cause i email bliss about it but havent got a reply i got a call from the people were i baught my new laptop the Acer Aspire 5610 duo core 1.7ghz 1gb ram 120gb hdd not sure on graphics and they said that blizz is bringing out a vista patch but i havent seen anything from them yet i havent even got a reply they must be getting flooded with errors about the same thing but mine restarts the pc so got any other ideas ill try the repair and report back
