World in Conflict

I know we've got quite a few RTSs recently released on PC but World in Conflict is looking amazing!

Those of you who've played Ground Control know this will be good (if you haven't go pick it up now and enjoy it) but so far, this seems like the kinda game I like! Lots of micromanegement, gorgoeus graphics with a compelte 3D camera. It's gonna rock my sox off

Makes me want to play ground control 1 + 2 again...mmmm such a good story in GC 2 especially.

The graphics look like CoH.
How is this related to GC? As far as I can tell you do not have direct manual control over your vehicles in a first person view. This is a classic RTS game, no?

heres hoping it comes out on 360 some time, because my moldy old PC wouldnt play somthing that looks like that....

Watched an interview with the developers on gamerTV at the weekend and this looks like one pretty intensive game, the graphics and in particular the nukes look absolutely insane. Surely this must be a DX10 game as the dustcloud appeared to be reacting to passing planes and wind. Pretty much a generic RTS with some awe-inspiring visuals.

Looks like a sweet engine and at least the demo machines can play it smoothly. That's not always the case.

Na it plays exactly like GC in the fact that it's more of a RTT (real time tactical) than an RTS, given that we don't have bases or buildings which players in the GC world have come accustomed to. And if ever, GC didn't allow you first person control of vehicales and neither did GCII so... Well I'm positive GCII didn't

I don't like the vids that I've seen as its all been pre rendered and not actual user gameplay. I certainly love the idea of this game hope it's going to rule. Is it related in any way to the NES game Conflict I used to play that game as a kid?

If you click on the link in my post, they have full gameplay clips for your enjoyment and trust me, it's still gorgeous

And if ever, all the vids are using gameplay video, nothing rendered at all.

No relation to Conflict sorry but plenty of relations with Ground Control (which I still consider the best RTS ever created, bar none).

It'll be alot like GCII so in other words, either you'll love the style or hate it and prefer the more "traditional" RTS genre. Hell it's Massive and they haven't made a single bad game yet

Seems to be just an advanced version of the Ground Control II engine so I doubt anything too demanding (as of minimum requirements).

Maxed out? DX10 and Vista power

Looks to me like it doesn't require much horsepower to run but that's just my impression from the trailers.
