Supreme Commander sync problem

Hi guys, I recently bought Supreme Commander and I use to play it with a friend by IP, but recently we are having some problems. Everytime we play the game says that a synchronization problem, that ocurrs more or less 20-30 minutes after we start a campaing. Do you know what could be the reason? We have the same patch installed (the first released path). What do you recommend?

Install the 2 later patches and see if that helps. If not, the upcoming patch might fix it (it's supposed to be the biggest patch yet; much of it will be code optimizations, at least 800 optimizations total).

You have a link to this list of fixes or any solid info on it?
