9700 pro + Counterstrike
I've always used Nvidea up till now, so I have no idea what settings I need to change.
I've read that the Omega drivers are where it's at for gaming and not to use the catalyst 3.2's cause they won't work with cs. Do you need to disable Vsync like you do with all the Geforce cards? Little help would be great guys. THANKS ---Specs---- AMD 1.6ghz SOYO KT400 Dragon Ultra Plat. ed. 1024 mb RAM ATI Radeon 9700 pro Audigy Gamer |

Actually the ati vsync isint too bad. You wont get as many fps with it on.... but then again you wont get too much tearing with it off(monitor depending). I run without vsync on my SyncMaster900nf and I get tearing every once in like 40 minutes of play. IT usually only happens when the map has just loaded up for a frame or two then its smooth sailing.
Being your spec's I say turn texture quality way up, mipmap up too. Vsync off, truform off(Important!), and AF and AA all the way up too heh. Its fun to overpower old games. |
