Seems cool, CoD-style games in modern time should be cool. Although Im more into realistic shooters (Armed Assault ^_^), I still like millitary games like the CoD-games - so Im waiting for this for sure

I'm not sure just how 'official' this information is, but, this site does say that CoD 4 WILL BE available on the PC as well as XB360 and PS3:

I dunno I never really liked any COD / Medal of Honor... I actually just despise WW2 shooters...

CoD 2 was a carbon copy of CoD, same boring weapons and boring nazis. That trailer looked cool as hell and I hope it's out this year.

From the sources i have seen their is no mention of a pc version.

IGN is a pretty reliable source.

Apart from that i don't think the video shows enough of the game but it's early days.I'm looking forward to see how this game develops over the next few months.

My disappointment with CoD2 was that I finished....and didn't realize I was done until the credits started rolling. There was no real 'finale' to it. With the first one, the finale was GREAT!

From what I heard, its in-game... As for PS3 vs Xbox, techincally the image quality is identical so there isn't much of a difference

If that is in-game, then it looks like in this game you never hold a gun, but apparently just watch other people fight. And for the first time in the history of video games, the human characters not only walk, but make a thousand other moves just like real humans.

BF2 is boring and Quake Wars is all futuristic so it'll be cool to have a solid modern day FPS to play.

COD on PC is geting BOREING least the multi player is, enough with the porting
all the same old maps over and over. we need new maps, funner game play...

Bit of a thread resurrection here but this seemed to be the closest to an "official" CoD 4 thread I could find...

I finally beat the game! I used to think it was pretty overrated when it came out but Holy crap did I end up impressed with Modern Warfare; the farthest I had made it before was the part where the Nuke goes off. This time, aided with better gaming hardware and home theater surround sound I played the remainder of the game in a day and loved it. It's hard to believe this was even a part of the CoD series, the way you were swapped between the SAS and Marine Corps was a blast and kept me intrigued with the plot. Call of Duty with plot!

My favorite missions have to be the flashback scene at Chernobyl where you are sniping behind enemy lines and another SAS mission where you first played at night with stealth and then the same area in day was a desperate battle to survive until extraction.

Now I'm in the mood to play World At War. So far it has been boring in comparison but I think I will stick it out

CoD World at War is good. If you are looking for a WWII themed FPS then I advice you to check out the Brothers In Arms series and MOH Airborne. Steam has a weekend deal for the BiA series, all three games for 19 euros.

I played a large part of CoD4. It was good, too bad the game isn't longer. The sniping mission was fun and I am proud (I hope not for nothing) that I succeeded with a nice HS in my first try. It had some annoying moments (ie the stealth ones). I stopped playing the game for a couple of reasons, one of them was that I was fed up with the system for enemy reinforcements at one level where you had to wait for extraction and move through a village.
Apart from that, good game. I heard that Modern Warfare 2 will not have this stupid thing, so here is to hope.

CoD4 is a game that I've kept installed ever since the first time. The singleplayer campaign is the best I've seen in any action shooter as it keeps up the pace and variation throughout. I have no idea of how many times that I've played it from start to finish, and then there's the Arcade mode. After having found most hidden bonus items (laptops) there's also a bullet-time cheat/hack and a few others that can make the game more interesting on the highest difficulty setting.

The silly part of that is no matter how well you aim he is always going to survive -minus the arm. It would have been a lot cooler if your shot in the flashback determined what body part he'd be missing in the present day missions.
