Doesn't bf2142 suck as much as a 5$ hooker? I mean, how can people play that crap??!! I tried it's demo and it sucked so much I had to reinstall BF2 and play Point of Existence. Anyways, end of offtopic :P

Sorry to break into the thread off-topic, but you weren't expecting this kind of response were you??

Most of us on here that got in on the 2142 beta did not like it. I know for myself, I continue to play BF1942 (Desert Combat + DC Extended) and BF2 (with POE and EOD).

I am not gonna bother with any other Dice games because when Frontlines : Fuel of War comes out I think it will far surpass anything Dice can come up with. Frontlines is made by the same group that created Desert Combat and Battlefield 2.

Dude, try Project Reality. It's a kickass mod for BF2. I still occasionally play it. IT OWNS!!!

. EA really fucked it up. BF2 still has 1000+ servers

Yea, I logged in the other day (BF2) and there were around 2400 servers for vanilla BF2. I bet if you use something like qtracker you would find even more servers as some don't show up in the gamespy browser.

Anyway, 280 servers. I bet DICE/EA are pissed about that.

BF2 is much better due to the different types of servers available (infantry only etc).

I was guessing it is 400 servers but still not many! enough to make me happy though.

so i've been curious about the BF series -heard mixed reviews-HM.. where can i get a trial version? not sure if i've seen it listed on Steam or not..

BF2 was an excellent game, BF2142 felt like a good mod, but a god awful new game.
